Kindergarten

To drive or not to drive a child to kindergarten

Do I need to take my child to kindergarten? When to send the weather to the garden? Are there "non-Sadovka" children? Consider in detail these and other issues, as well as all the pros and cons of preschool education.

The first years of life are behind, the baby has formed into a tiny man with his own character and temperament. The time has come for parents to decide whether to take their child to kindergarten or to give preference to home schooling. Contrary to the opinion that the kindergarten is necessary first of all for the mother, who needs to go to work, to a greater extent the kindergarten is necessary for the child himself. Only interaction with peers is able to instill in the baby the necessary communication skills, without which it will be quite difficult for him in later life.

What can and what can not kindergarten?

In addition to the ability to communicate and interact in a team, the kindergarten will teach the child the basics of discipline and safety, will help him become more independent and organized. At home, under the constant care of parents or a nanny, the child will be deprived of an important stage of socialization. This developmental milestone will still have to be passed, but only later, at school, which will create an additional burden on the kid adapting to learning.

Attention! If you decide to send your child to kindergarten only for the reason that he has become unmanageable, and you hope that the teachers will correct your omissions in education, you are mistaken. The child will be instilled with the fundamental principles of discipline, but not re-educated. If at home you ignore the bad behavior of your own son or daughter, then the child will behave just as badly in the garden, and you will constantly listen to complaints from the caregivers.

It is a mistake to think that kindergarten is a replacement for mom and dad. In a child from the first years of life, the foundations of behavior, value systems, culture, and eating habits that are characteristic of the family are laid. The junior preschool institution will develop and consolidate the acquired rudiments of knowledge, but it will not be possible to replace them with others. If the kid is used to eating not soup and porridge, but fast food, he is used to hitting animals and not taking care of them, then there is no need to hope that his habits will change. Therefore, there is a saying among the people that a child can be raised when he is placed across the bench, and then it's too late to do it.

When kindergarten is not needed: parental doubts

Often parents are overcome by the question - does my child really need a kindergarten? Consider the most common parenting doubts:

  • Bad conditions

Every parent wants only the best for their child. The conditions in state kindergartens usually do not satisfy the wishes of mom and dad: a dilapidated building, old furniture, a lack of qualified educators, a lack of toys and teaching materials. Such living conditions seem unacceptable to many. If this is about you, then a reasonable solution would be to send the baby to a private kindergarten or look for a kindergarten, perhaps not so close to home, but in a new building, after renovation and with good teachers.

  • Food allergy

For kids with allergies to many foods, being in the kindergarten is really problematic: because of one child, the kindergarten administration will not make changes to the menu. Moreover, the teacher may forget about allergies to some of the products or not notice how the child eats something prohibited. In such a situation, it is wiser to stay at home with the child, hire a nanny or ask the grandmother to take care of the baby while the mother is at work.

  • Affection for the child

This factor has a right to exist, but it is rather doubtful. Some mothers are so “painfully” attached to the child that they are not ready to let him go, even for a while. In this situation, it is important for the mother to realize that her policy is wrong and will only harm the child. If you cannot cope with this psychological ailment on your own, you need to contact a psychologist.

  • Weather children

The youngest is just born, and the oldest is 2 - 3 years old, and it is time to send him to kindergarten. In such a situation, it is better to wait a little while the baby grows up and send the children to the kindergarten at the same time. Otherwise, the baby will constantly suffer from viral diseases "brought" from the garden by an older child.

  • "Nesadovsky child"

There are some children who cannot adapt to kindergarten at all. More than once we have heard stories that the child cried for 2, 3, or even 4 years, while going to kindergarten. And, naturally, kindergarten for such kids is the worst childhood memory. But such children, fortunately, are few. Approximately one for the whole group.

“Nesadikovsky” child - School of Doctor Komarovsky:

The decision about whether a child needs a kindergarten or not can only be made by parents. They know better than others the peculiarities of their child's health and psychology. Do not forget that preschool education plays a significant role in development, therefore, kindergarten will only benefit most children.
