Graphic dictation by cells for children in grade 1

Graphic dictation by cells for children in grade 1 is an entertaining, useful and interesting game, during which the child tries to guess what kind of picture he will get in his notebook. This type of work is very popular among educators. Many of them use O.A. Kholodovoy "Clever men and clever men", where you can find many such drawings in the cells. Let's take a closer look.

Benefit

Drawing of such patterns is offered to children in mathematics notebooks. For schoolchildren, these moments of educational activity are interesting and are perceived by them with pleasure. For first graders, this type of activity in the lesson or at home helps in the ability to coordinate hand movements, to form writing skills. Coping with the task, children learn to be more attentive, perseverance, imagination, creative thinking develop, an active vocabulary increases.

Drawing lines through the cells, the child develops fine motor skills of the hand, remembers the count within 10, the formation of initial mathematical concepts takes place. This entertaining form of work contributes to the development of spelling vigilance, facilitates an easier process of adaptation to school.

These pictures are also used in various methods to help determine the level of development of the baby. For example, using the “Graphic dictation” technique by D. B. Elkonin, it is possible to reveal how well the child has developed orientation in space, the ability to be attentive, listen and follow the instructions offered by the teacher with accuracy, work independently under the dictation of an adult, draw lines on a notebook sheet in the indicated direction.

Features of conducting classes

Prepare the child's workplace, check that there is nothing superfluous that distracts the baby from work. All necessary materials should be on the table:

  • squared notebook;
  • simple pencil;
  • eraser;
  • sample execution or instruction for an adult.

You need to put a starting point on the piece of paper, from which the baby will begin to move along the cells. Then start dictating. The numbers in the task indicate how many cells you need to move, and the arrows indicate the direction of movement. For example, the designation 2 → indicates that it is necessary to draw a line 2 cells to the right.

The dictator's speech must be clear and understandable. Make sure your child can keep up with the pace of your dictation. Help him if necessary. It will be more interesting to study if you add riddles, catchphrases, tongue twisters, physical minutes, etc. in the process of activity.

When the baby sees the finished image, you can have a conversation about it, tell interesting facts, invite him to color or shade it.

Methods of execution

Drawing by the cells for first graders should not be too difficult. They can be done in several ways:

  • Under dictation. The teacher tells how many cells you need to move and in what direction. The student works by listening to the information and then checking it against the sample.
  • You can offer a ready-made pattern and ask to repeat it in your notebook.
  • The little one will also like to paint the shapes according to symmetry. In this case, he is offered half of the symmetrical image, and the second he must complete on his own.
