Sledge "Nika": types, models and operating instructions

In winter, parents with small children have a problem: how to walk with their child. Strollers often skid in the snow, so it takes a lot of effort to get through the snowy streets. For older children, ordinary sledges are suitable, but carrying small children in them is inconvenient and dangerous. However, there is a way out. Currently, there is also such a type of children's winter transport as a wheelchair.

About the manufacturer

The Nika brand is the most popular. The sleds are produced by the Russian company Nika LLC. She specializes in the production of household and household products: ironing boards, furniture sets for camping and recreation, ladders. Goods for children account for a significant share of production: sledges, sledges, children's furniture sets, easels for painting.

Nika has been operating for about 20 years, since 1998. During its activity, the company is constantly improving technologies, uses high quality raw materials, which is a guarantee of the quality of the products. Excellent product quality, constant modernization of products and design modifications, a wide range of models allows you to take a worthy place in the sales market and contributes to the popularity of their products. Products with the Nika brand are in demand not only in Russia, but also in the neighboring countries: Moldova, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Belarus.

Types and models

A special niche in the production of this company is occupied by sleds, which are presented in two types.

Sleigh

The Nika winter sled for children is made of a thin tube covered with frost-resistant enamel. The spacious base and low runners provide a stable, safe and reliable ride.

A distinctive feature of these sleds are the following indicators:

  • the handle is covered with soft rubber, which makes it very convenient to use;
  • child safety is ensured by seat belts;
  • the seat can have both transverse and longitudinal slats;
  • ease of use is guaranteed due to easy sliding, comfortable tilt of the handle, which does not require stress on the parents' back while transporting the child, rubber gasket on the handle that protects hands from the cold;
  • colorful design;
  • use of high-quality and safe raw materials that have certificates.

The model range of Nika children's sleds is represented by the Timka and Veterok models... Sledge "Veterok" is the most economical budget model that has no options. The sleds of this model are modifications 1, 2 and 3. The numbers indicate the presence of any options. The Veterok sleds are made in various bright colors, designed for both girls and boys.

When choosing a sled, you need to pay attention to such characteristics as:

  • the size of the base, which can be simple and elongated;
  • the functional ability of the handle is the ability to remove it and change the position of its inclination;
  • the shape of the sled runners - they are round;
  • a seat that has a removable back and footrest that provide comfort for the child.

Sled models "Timka" are improved versions of "Veterka" and are represented by such model range as:

  • "Timka Classic";
  • Timka 3;
  • "Timka 3+";
  • Timka 5;
  • Timka 5+;
  • Timka 5 Comfort;
  • Timka 5 Junior;
  • "Timka 5" Nikki.

With general characteristics with "Veterk", the "Timka" model has the following features:

  • all models have flat runners that guarantee the best flotation;
  • wide runners (the widest of the series for Timka 5 Junior);
  • more convenient transportation is provided by the presence of additional wheels (in the Timka 3+ and Timka 5 Comfort models);
  • the models of this series differ from each other in the size of the base: the short base is intended for children from 2 to 4 years old, and the long base is for older ones - from 3 to 7 years.

"Timka 5" classic has such characteristic parameters as:

  • runners 3 cm wide flat;
  • extended base;
  • the seat is made of cross bars;
  • folding handle has two positions;
  • safety belts for securing the child;
  • a step-shaped footboard;
  • the presence of wheels on the runners.

Sledge "Timka 3" designed for children over 4 years old, easily withstand a weight of 50 kg, temperatures up to -30 degrees, as the sled frame has a coating of waterproof and frost-resistant enamel.

"Timka 5+" also suitable for children from the age of four. The sled has a metal frame and a seat made of wooden slats.

"Timka 5 Universal" designed for children aged 1 to 5 years. These sleds provide comfortable movement on city streets in winter.

The presence of an additional wheelbase allows, after switching to it by pressing the pedal, to drive along the sidewalk cleared of snow.

Small wheels on the back of the runners help to overcome small, non-snowy parts of the road.

The sled glides easily in the snow and has good stability thanks to the wide flat runners.

The backrest allows the child to sit comfortably on the seat, he can firmly hold on to the armrests, and the fixing straps will also provide additional safety.

The runners are rounded at both the front and the back, which allows the sled to be transported in two directions. The frame and handle are made of metal, the seat is made of wooden slats. The handle can be thrown when changing the position of the child in the sleigh (facing or with his back to himself), therefore there are 2 positions for fixing the pusher handle - from the back or from the front. The handle can also be replaced with the supplied string.

The Nikki model, like the Timka 5 Universal, is a modernized version of the sled with retractable wheels and rubberized tires. These sleds have a lightweight folding structure that does not take up much space.

Sleds

By combining a stroller with a sled, a new means of transportation for children was invented - a stroller sled. This type of child transport is designed to transport babies and older children in improved and comfortable conditions. Wheelchairs are produced in two types: wheelchairs with wheels (the so-called wheelbase) and without a wheelbase. Wheelchairs, additionally equipped with wheels, move much easier on snow-cleared sidewalks or during a thaw when the snow melts.

These types of sleds have the following advantages:

  • the presence of a switching mechanism, which is carried out by pressing the foot on the wheelbase;
  • the presence of additional wheels on wide runners, which allows you to move around snowless areas without using the wheelbase;
  • a special flip handle provides the ability to carry the child face to face;
  • a back that has several positions, including a horizontal version;
  • fairly wide seat;
  • the footrest can be adjusted, creating maximum comfort for the child;
  • the presence of a bag with pockets and a folding visor for protection from the weather.

However, there are also disadvantages, the main of which is the weight of the sled (10 kg). Taking into account the weight of a winter-dressed child, a rather impressive weight is obtained. In addition, sleds on wheels do not have good stability. Wheelchairs without a wheelbase are equipped only with wheels on runners, with the help of which you can overcome small sections of a snowless road.

The range of wheelchair sleds is quite wide and is represented by such models as:

  • "Nika for children 1";
  • "Nika for children 7-2";
  • "Nika for children 7-3";
  • "Nika for children 7-4";
  • "Nika to children 6";
  • "Timka 5 Universal".

Model "Nika for children" 1 is a folding wheelchair and is intended for children from one to four years of age. A high degree of safety is guaranteed by the presence of a belt with five points of fixation of the child... The manufacturer offers blue and pink colors.

The model "Nika to children 7-2" is the most popular among parents.

The runners in the model make it possible to overcome even deep snow, and the presence of wheels on rubber tires with spikes helps to drive on roads cleared of snow. Additional two wheels on the runners help cushion the ride.

In addition, the wheelchair is very easy to operate. The safety belt securely fixes the child and does not allow him to fall out of the sled.

They have a hood that is fixed in such a comfortable position to protect the child from bad weather (snow, wind).

Warm muffs are provided for parents to warm their hands during frost. The set includes a fur mattress.

The models of this series are distinguished by their peculiar design. Colorful appliqués on foot covers, various drawings of fairy tale characters, funny animals, or just abstract prints provide an opportunity to choose the best option. White faux fur piping and funny lugs on the visor add a touch of elegance to the sled.

Special luminous inserts on the case guarantee the greatest safety a child's vehicle as it is made visible in the dark.

The undoubted advantages of these models are as follows:

  • small size allows the possibility of transporting them in public transport and elevators; when folded, they fit in the trunk of any car;
  • they are easy to operate and easy to move;
  • comfortable conditions for children are provided by the presence of a fur mattress, a protective visor, a warm cover for the child's feet.

The model "Nika for children 7-4" is a transformer, therefore it is possible to use it both as a sleigh and as a stroller. The wheels can be lowered simply by pressing the pedal. This model is easy to move on the sidewalk or other smooth surface. After pressing again, the stroller turns into a sleigh.

The characteristic features of this model are as follows:

  • runners 4 cm wide are flat;
  • the frame is made of high strength steel and brightly colored;
  • the model is equipped with a retractable wheelbase;
  • a folding high visor with 3 sections makes it possible to place a child even in a voluminous hat;
  • the backrest can be set in a horizontal position;
  • the angle of inclination of the footrest can also be adjusted to a position comfortable for the child;
  • the case has edging and inserts that reflect light;
  • leg cover fastens with 2 zippers located on the sides;
  • a special window on the hood allows you to see the child while driving;
  • the seat belt has 3 fixation points;
  • additional rubberized wheels on the runners soften the shock absorption.

In addition, sleds have options such as:

  • reversible handle;
  • levers that control the movement of the handle are built into the handle;
  • the handle is fixed automatically;
  • the presence of a translucent awning that protects from bad weather.

"Nika for children 7-3" has the same characteristics as "Nika children 7-4". Some difference lies in the configuration. Model 7-4 is complemented by an original handbag, a soft toy, and the leg cover has a pocket with a flap.

"Nika to children 6" differs from other models in its original design, made in winter style. The hood and ears on it, as well as the foot cover are decorated with white fur trim, and there is a sleeve for the hands on the handle of the sled. All drawings are very colorful and have a winter theme.

All sleds-wheelchairs of the Nika for Children model range are perfectly adapted to the conditions of the Russian winter.

Wheelchairs without wheels (wheelbase) are represented by such models as:

  • Nika Winter-Summer;
  • "Nika for children 2";
  • Nika Umka-3;
  • Nika Timka Lux;
  • "Nika to children 4".

All of the above models have both common and their own distinctive characteristics. These models are intended for children from one to four years of age... Flat runners provide good glide. They are equipped with castors for driving on snow-free areas. The cover and hood are made of water-repellent polyester, and the frame is made of lightweight yet durable metal. The seat belts keep the child securely in place.

The backrest has several tilt positions up to horizontal... The leg cover fastens with a zipper and has light-reflecting piping. There is a window on the hood to watch the baby while driving. The handle can be thrown over and carried the child facing you. There is a small handbag for mom, where you can put various small necessary things.

In bad weather, you can attach a translucent awning to the visor.

Feature of the model "Nika for children 2" is the presence of two additional handles on the sides and a crossbar-handle between them, which allows you to choose the most convenient option for gripping the handle when moving. The seat belt in this model has 5 anchorage points.

Model "Nika for children 4" It features a taller canopy, an increased seat width and a longer flap with side zips. The visor has 2 sections and is easy to fold.

Models "Umka 3" and "Timka Lux" have 2-section folding visors and 3-point safety belts.

Feature universal model "Nika Winter-Summer" lies in the fact that it can be used not only in winter, but also in other seasons. The kit has an additional frame with wheels that replaces the runners, and the model can be used as a stroller from spring to autumn.

When assembled, all models are small and take up little space.

Operating tips

Wheelchairs are sold assembled. After purchase, it becomes necessary to assemble them. Models come with instructions. It indicates the purpose of the sled, the conditions for their operation and the assembly procedure.

To assemble the wheelchair, you must perform the steps in the following sequence:

  • the foot cover is first unfastened;
  • the footrest is set to a horizontal position, then you need to move the seat so that it takes a position above the footrest;
  • to unfold the frame, you need to pull the handle up, while holding the seat with your hand; in the unfolded position, the seat rests against the axis of the footrest;
  • footrest stands and handle are attached with special clamps;
  • the cover for the legs is fastened again;
  • the backrest is installed in the desired position, its adjustment in the selected position is carried out using the lock; to change the inclination of the backrest, you need to raise its lock, turn the backrest to the desired position, it is necessary that the lock fits exactly into the hole on the stop.

To fold the wheelchair, you need to adhere to the following algorithm:

  • raise the clips securing the handle and footrest;
  • lift the latch located on the back;
  • unfold the back to the lowest position, after which the frame is folded.

To change the position of the handle, you need to lift its lock and, turning the handle, fix it in the rack.

The manufacturer advises to adhere to such rules when operating models as:

  • after each walk, thoroughly remove dirt from all structural units;
  • before storage after the end of winter, you need to wipe the stroller well and disassemble the structure after washing the removable elements;
  • it is necessary to store the wheelchair in a dry place, the temperature should not be higher than +25 degrees, and the humidity should not exceed 70%;
  • do not allow direct sunlight;
  • the model must not stand on wheels (they must be lifted above the runners).

Other operational requirements relate to the safety of the child, namely:

  • while driving, the child must be secured with seat belts;
  • it is strictly forbidden to use wheelchairs for downhill slides;
  • do not stop and leave models on slopes, neither on wheels nor on runners.

Ordinary sleds "Nika" are also assembled independently. Instructions and fasteners are included with the model. It is much easier to assemble a sled than a stroller sled, since only 2 elements are attached - a backrest and a handle. The backrest is attached to the seat with 2 screws. On the body of the sled there are 2 deep frames, where the handle is inserted. The handle holds firmly and securely.

Subject to all operating rules and safety advice, the Nika models will serve for a long time and reliably.

Reviews

Positive and negative points are clarified only during operation. Consumers who use Nika sleds also note their advantages and disadvantages. In positive reviews about the models of the sled "Nika" it is indicated, first of all, the ease of their movement in the snow, as well as a child-friendly back, which has several provisions. Parents also note the reliability of seat belts. Many are happy with the presence of bags and pockets.

It is noted that the presence of wheels really makes it easier to move on the snowless sidewalk... Parents like that in a wheelchair sled, the child is well protected from cold and bad weather thanks to visors, leg covers, awnings. In such models, the child feels warm and comfortable. And also the modern bright and colorful design of the models is noted.

Many parents are satisfied with the option of a stroller without a wheelbase: they are stable, easy to operate, and additional wheels on skids help to drive through the site without snow.

But there are also negative reviews, which indicate the disadvantages of sled models. As parents note, in the model "Nika children 7-2" the handle is inconvenient to use: Its height is not adjustable, which makes it inconvenient for people with tall stature. Another disadvantage, consumers consider the action of the switching mechanism from skids to wheels, which is done too abruptly and very loudly. And also negative aspects include not quite good stability in the position on the wheels: there is a risk that the sled may tilt to the side or back.

The disadvantage in models with flip handles is, according to parents, insufficient handle length with her position in the position "child facing him." In addition, in this position, random switching from wheels to runners often occurs. The disadvantage of sleds without a wheelbase, consumers consider the limited possibility of their use - only in the presence of snow.

According to the rating carried out among consumers, the first place among sleds-strollers without a wheelbase belongs to the model "Nika for children 5", and with a wheelbase is the model "Nika for children 7-2".
