Holidays with children on the Russian Black Sea coast are an excellent solution, especially if you have chosen not the most lively and crowded place for this. On the Black Sea in the Krasnodar Territory, it is quite difficult to find sandy beaches, which parents with small children so want to get to. One of these places is the village of Dzhemete, near Anapa. We will tell you how to relax in it, where to go and where to stay in this article.
Location
Dzhemete is a village located 8 kilometers from the center of Anapa. It is only 5 kilometers from the city bus station to the village. You can get there by minibus or bus. If you want to get additional pleasure from the road, you can go from Anapa to Dzhemete on a motor ship that runs on a regular basis.
Climate and nature
The climate in Dzhemet is subtropical and mild. The village got its name from the sandy beaches. The word "dzhemete" in translation from the Adyghe means "a placer of gold". Locals claim that in the beach sand you can indeed find grains of the most real gold. Whether it is true or not, Dzhemete beaches are really considered a real treasure of the Krasnodar Territory.
The sand here is amazing, silky and soft to the touch.
This is not found anywhere else in the Krasnodar Territory. The beaches themselves in the village are small, only 100-150 meters wide, but they are stretched for almost 10 kilometers in length, the quality of these beaches has been appreciated by tens of thousands of tourists.
The water here does not bloom, because it does not stagnate, therefore, even during the seasonal "blooming" of the Black Sea, the water here remains clean and pleasant. The descent into the water along the entire length of the beaches is gentle and smooth, which is optimal for families with children. The bottom near the coast is also sandy.
Where to stay?
Despite the status of the village, Dzhemete offers its guests quite decent hotels. There are 17 of them, including sanatoriums and boarding houses. For families with children, several of them are suitable:
- "Olympus". This is a three-star hotel operating on the all-inclusive system, dear to the Russian heart. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the beach, but the road is quite easy, and even with small children it is quite easy to overcome it. In addition to the adult, the hotel has a fresh water children's pool with water slides. There is a kid's club for children from 4 years old, animators offer young guests an entertainment program and educational activities throughout the day. Olympus is a hotel with a playground and its own cinema.
It is very important that "All inclusive" in this hotel means that everything is included and more. You can not only have breakfast, lunch and dinner for free, but also get a free consultation with a pediatrician, use air hockey and rent sports equipment.
- "La Melia". This is a brand new hotel built in 2016. It was awarded 3 stars, but according to the feelings of vacationers, more can be given. The hotel is located right on the Dzhemete beach. It also operates on an all-inclusive basis and has its own beach. The best hotels in Krasnodar region can only dream of a heated pool and children's section. Animators are working. To the water park from the hotel on foot - about 10 minutes.
- "White beach". This complex offers its guests three meals a day, two swimming pools, cozy and comfortable houses for living right on the beach. The hotel has a kids club and animators. To the water park and dolphinarium - about 7 minutes of leisurely walk.
- "Captain of the Seas". This hotel has 2 stars in its name, but it is nevertheless a very decent hotel with a pool, dining room, where you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner at an affordable price. You can walk to the water park from the hotel in 5 minutes, to the beach - about 7 minutes on foot.
Children's boarding houses
- "Tatyana". A simple and uncomplicated boarding house with small houses, a children's playground and a decent dining room where homemade meals are prepared. The boarding house itself is located in a secluded and quiet place, away from the main road. To the water park and the beach - about 10 minutes on foot.
- Pensions "Fairy". There are two of them. Pension No. 2 has its own large water park, and therefore this particular place from the entire network is considered the most interesting for families with children. The chain boarding house No. 3 also has a water park, but it is relatively small and has fewer slides.
Guest houses and private sector rentals
There are a lot of guest houses in Dzhemete, it will not be difficult to find the right one for your family. Accommodation in them does not imply food, prices are significantly lower than hotel prices. In the high season, you can find places where they will charge 700-800 rubles per person per day, and about 1500 rubles per room. In September, these rates are reduced by 30-40%. Here are just a few of the recommended guest houses:
- "Three sons" is a family-run guest house located 7 minutes walk from the beach.
- "Fortune" - a guest house located on the first coastline of Dzhemete. Suitable for families who like to cook on vacation, as the house has a kitchen.
- "Baron-Diana". Guest house, located at some distance from the sea (15 minutes walk), equipped with its own kitchen and dining room. There are tour desks nearby where you can plan your leisure time.
- Celini. Guest house 5 minutes walk from the beach. Rooms with all amenities, guests are provided with three meals a day for a fee. Accommodation for children under 3 years old is free.
If you try, you can rent a house in the private sector of the village in advance.
In the summer months, it will cost 1500 - 5000 per day. It is about a room in a house or cottage. Meals are not included in the payment, but you can always agree with the homeowners to cook for you (for a fee), as well as the locals are happy to volunteer to be guides and help vacationers plan their leisure time.
How to have fun?
All Dzhemete beaches are well equipped: there are showers, civilized toilets, changing rooms., you can rent equipment for water sports. For surfers, there is a branch of a surf station, here for a small fee (about a thousand rubles) beginners are given surfing lessons.
You can visit the mineral springs. There are several of them in Dzhemet, and the mineral water in them is close in composition to "Essentuki".

Outside Dzhemete, exciting trips on ATVs (stanitsa Gostaevskaya), an excursion to a spectacular show of Cossacks and Roman gladiators await you.
Nearby, in Vityazevo, there is a large diving center where you can have a good time with a teenager. Dads and grown-up sons will be interested in visiting fishing, such services are provided by many fishing bases along the sea.
If you go from Dzhemete to Sukko (24 kilometers), you can find yourself at a real African show or knight's tournament. And in Anapa you will find a fascinating safari trip - the Balu park.

Experienced tourists who have had more than one trip to Dzhemete behind them recommend not renting housing in the private sector of the village, because there all the houses are located close to the sea, and, therefore, by the road. According to their reviews, it is much cheaper to find housing in the private sector of Anapa.
The beach in Dzhemete is rated by most tourists as the most preferred for family tourism. However, there is one caveat - you should not buy anything from the local vendors on the beach for any food or drink, there have been cases of serious poisoning. You can feed your child in cafes, which are abundant along the entire beach.
As a minus, tourists note the relative high cost of souvenirs in Dzhemet.
There are a lot of Larks with such products, but their prices are much higher than in Anapa.
