Nooclerin for children: instructions for use

Medicines called nootropics are in demand for various disorders of the nervous system, problems with memory, sleep, attention, and learning. This group of medicines includes "Nooclerin". This medication is often prescribed for adults, since it is contraindicated at an early age, but sometimes it is prescribed for schoolchildren and adolescents.

Release form and composition

"Nooclerin" is a product of the "Peak-Pharma" company, which has such popular drugs as "Elkar" and "Pantogam" in its range of medicines. The only dosage form of "Nooclerin" is a solution that must be taken orally. It is sold in a 100 ml dark glass bottle. The bottle comes with a measuring 5 ml spoon, which is marked "1/2" to measure out 2.5 ml, and sometimes the mark "1/4", which allows you to collect 1.25 ml.

The solution itself has a yellow or pink tint and smells specifically. Its main component is called deanol aceglumate and consists of two compounds: deanol and acetylglutamic acid. Their dosage in 1 ml of solution is 200 mg (that is, the concentration of such a drug is 20%), and one full measuring spoon contains 1 g of active substances. Additional ingredients of the drug are propyl parahydroxybenzoate, purified water, xylitol and methyl parahydroxybenzoate.

Operating principle

The structure of the active components of "Nooclerin" resembles the chemical structure of compounds that are metabolites of the brain. The drug has neuroprotective properties, that is, its intake protects the brain tissue from harmful effects. In addition, when using "Nooclerin", the following effects are provided:

  • improving memory;
  • increased activity - both mental and motor;
  • facilitating learning;
  • elimination of asthenia;
  • improving concentration of attention.

Indications and contraindications

In childhood, "Nooklerin" is prescribed for asthenic or neurotic disorders. Another drug is included in the complex to accelerate recovery from traumatic brain injury. It can also be prescribed to improve attention and memory, including for mental retardation.

"Nooklerin" is contraindicated in children under 10 years of age. If the child is younger, he is prescribed another nootropic drug that is approved for his age.

The solution should not be given to patients with individual hypersensitivity to any of its components, as well as with serious kidney pathologies. In addition, "Nooclerin" is not prescribed for infectious brain lesions, blood pathologies and severe liver diseases. Such a medication is also not used in patients with psychotic conditions or fever.

Side effects

Any ingredient in "Nooclerin" can cause a skin rash or other allergic reaction, the development of which requires immediate withdrawal of the medication. Other side effects of the drug include sleep problems, constipation, headaches, and weight loss. If they occur in a child, this should be reported to the attending physician.

Instructions for use

"Nooclerin" is given to children 10-12 years old at 0.5-1 g per day, which corresponds to half or a whole measuring spoon. From the age of twelve, the dosage is doubled, that is, they give the teenager 1-2 g of the active substance per day, which he can get from 1-2 measuring spoons. The specified daily dose of the drug is divided into two or three doses, but the last time the child can be given the solution no later than four hours before bedtime.

You need to take Nooklerin for a long time. Most often, the solution is prescribed in a course of 1.5 to 2 months, and if necessary, it is repeated twice or three times a year. The need for a second course of admission must be checked with a doctor.

Overdose

Too large a dose of the solution will increase the side effects of Nooclerin, for example, provoke constipation, insomnia, itching or headache. If an overdose is detected, you need to rinse the stomach and give the child a sorbent. With regard to the simultaneous appointment of "Nooclerin" with other drugs, such a solution is able to enhance the effect of drugs that stimulate the functions of the central nervous system.

Terms of sale and storage

"Nooclerin" is sold by prescription, therefore, the child must first be examined by a specialist who will determine whether a small patient needs such a nootropic. The average price of one bottle of medicine is 400 rubles.

It is permissible to store the sealed solution at home at temperatures below +25 degrees during the entire shelf life (3 years from the date of issue), but the contents of the opened bottle can be used no longer than 1 month. If more time has passed after the first use, the drug must be discarded, even if the solution still remains inside the bottle.

Reviews

On the use of "Nooklerin", they respond mostly positively. Moms call it effective and affordable, and children tolerate such a remedy well (side effects are rare).

Among the disadvantages of the drug are unpleasant taste, the presence of chemical additives in the composition, age restriction and short storage.

Analogs

If you need to replace Nooclerin with a similar medicine, your doctor will recommend another nootropic drug, for example:

  • injections of "Cerebrolysin";
  • tablets "Adaptol";
  • nose drops "Semax";
  • Phenibut tablets;
  • Pantogam syrup or tablets;
  • Cortexin injections;
  • lozenges "Tenoten for children";
  • solution "Kogitum";
  • suspension or tablets "Encephabol".

Many of these drugs, unlike Nooclerin, are allowed for children under 10 years of age, but such an analogue should be chosen only together with the attending physician, because they all contain different compounds, differ in the mechanism of action on the brain and contraindications.
