Strollers: a variety of models and features of choice

The birth of a child forces parents to buy a huge variety of different children's things, among which the stroller is perhaps the main one. This is the first transport in a child's life in which he will spend a significant part of his time, and since he is still completely helpless, comfort, convenience and safety must be provided at the highest level, and ideally - not only for him, but also for the parents ...

The parents themselves are far from always able to find their ideal the first time, because they still have no experience, albeit bad, and the range of modern manufacturers is such that their eyes simply run up. For this reason, even before making a purchase, you need to figure out what strollers are and by what criteria to choose them, in order to at least try to choose a good model the first time.

Features:

The large selection of strollers is so diverse for a reason - as there are parents and their children, there are so many opinions on how to choose strollers. If we talk about the selection criteria in general, then they can be conditionally divided into two main groups - some factors seem to be quite in demand in any situation, while others are more dependent on the personal preferences of the parents or the individual characteristics of their child.

For example, the safety of a baby should be ensured in any stroller - any sane person will confirm this. In terms of reliability of fixation, nothing better than five-point belts has yet been invented, therefore if the choice is to take a stroller with or without such belts, then there is nothing to think about - you only need to take a stroller with a child restraint system on five mounts. But whether the child is turned to face the mother or in the direction of movement is an exclusively matter of taste, and it is impossible to give a specific recommendation for everyone here.

If we talk about individual characteristics, then it is easy to assume that the same two-seater stroller will be useless for the parents of one child, but irreplaceable for the parents of twins.

This means that there are no completely stupid strollers - perhaps the chosen model is simply not suitable for a particular child. True, here it is necessary to make an important reservation that most of the models from famous manufacturers usually collect mostly positive reviews, while many models from “nameless” Chinese companies are mercilessly criticized. Indeed, the seat may turn out to be corny uncomfortable, and the whole structure is too heavy and clumsy, and then the stroller cannot be called good, but after all, something pushed the parents to buy this particular model, which means they saw some advantages in it, even though later disappointed. Most often, the decisive factor in such cases is the low cost.

Moreover, it is money that is the selection criterion that should be neglected in the first place. As a rule, those families who are trying to save money on the first stroller are very quickly faced with the fact that it is necessary to buy a second one - and it’s good if the child just grew up without breaking a cheap purchase.

As for the convenience of both the baby and the parents, they should not be neglected, even if it seems that the main thing is that notorious safety or reliability.

If the stroller is good for everyone, but the child is simply uncomfortable, walks will not bring pleasure to either the children or their parents. The kid, instead of sleeping normally or breathing fresh air, will start to be capricious, and his mother will have to calm him down, and over time, it is possible that she will lose any desire to go out, accompanied by children's tantrums.

But the inconvenience of the baby is most dangerous not even with this, but with the likelihood of violations in the development of the musculoskeletal system, because a constantly occupied wrong position is critically dangerous for a fragile child's skeleton.

The comfort of the parents greatly influences how often the baby walks. If the stroller is light, easily gets into the elevator and descends the steps, is able to drive through the door of any supermarket and overcome any bumps in the nearest park, then the child will accompany adults in their daily life all the time. On the street, the air is more likely to be fresher than indoors, and there is much more interesting here to develop at an accelerated pace.

If these conditions are not met, it is highly likely that the mother will condemn herself to a voluntary long-term imprisonment within the walls of the house, believing that it will be much easier for her to take care of the child. Even on the rare occasions when she still leaves the house, she will prefer to leave the baby in the crib while someone replaces her. In the end, if the stroller is uncomfortable and cannot urgently adapt to people with different parameters, then the same grandmother will no longer be able to replace her mother - she will simply be too uncomfortable.

In a word, you should not choose a stroller with an eye on any one criterion or group of criteria. It should always be remembered that the best design is the one that meets absolutely all criteria, not just those that seem the most obvious. In the process of daily use, it may turn out that a small drawback turns out to be very significant.

Constructions

The design variety of baby carriages is very significant - it is caused by both different needs and different visions of designers.

Of course, it's worth starting with those moments that are fundamentally important when choosing. For example, it is almost always more convenient for parents of two children to carry them in one large stroller than in two separate ones, if only because with two separate strollers one person can no longer cope with the organization of such a walk. As a rule, dad at this stage of his life is busy actively earning money to support the whole family, so it turns out that mom, not being able to be torn between two children, should always walk with both at once.

At the same time, some parents with whom, for example, a grandmother lives, can do the fundamentally opposite, buying two separate, and therefore lighter strollers, which, in extreme cases, can be connected with a special fastener. A somewhat similar triple solution exists for three children. It is logical that a single model is chosen for an only child.

A mandatory criterion for choosing a wheelchair is also the age of the child. For the first about six months of his life, the baby is unable to get up - he lies all the time, so he needs a cradle. In the future, the child learns to sit down, and because of the innate and normal activity for this age, he does not want to lie down all the time - he is interested in the world around him, therefore he would gladly sit, observing the views that open up.

At the same time, it is also not worth overestimating his capabilities - he sits for a relatively short time, but still sleeps a lot, therefore the stroller (this is what the seated model is called) should assume the ability to unfold to an almost lying position without unnecessary noise, so that the sleeping child would receive more comfortable conditions for relax.

In this regard, there are several types of stroller design. The so-called simple cradles do not imply a change in their shape - they have a rigid bottom that guarantees the correct lying position of the baby. The stroller provides a comfortable sitting position, although it almost always allows you to adjust the back to lie down or at least recline.

Models of the transformer type usually try to combine both a cradle and a stroller, thanks to which they are popular among consumers for the prospect of using up to the child's conscious age, but often chasing two hares gives mediocre results both in the form of a cradle and a stroller ...

Alternatively, you can use a 2-in-1 stroller, where the chassis is supplied in only one copy, but two removable blocks are issued at once - a separate cradle and a walking block. An even more versatile solution is the 3-in-1 stroller, which even includes a car seat.

The possibility of folding the stroller is not fundamental for everyone, but still a very important constructive moment. The folding design requires less storage space, and in recent years, manufacturers have also offered specially thoughtful models that fold with one hand, which is very convenient when walking with a child through narrow elevator doors. On this basis, all folding strollers are divided into two main types - the so-called "books" and "walking sticks".

"Books" are solidity. The creators of such models are guided by the fact that the most important thing is the baby's health, therefore they provide the stroller with a full-fledged hard seat. Hence the probable disadvantages of such a model, consisting in significant weight and the same cost, as well as in tangible dimensions even when folded, however, both doctors and experienced parents will prove that it is more correct.

"Walking sticks" attract buyers with their lightness and mobility. The bottom here is usually made of fabric, and the only rigid support can be a single rod, which can also be folded if necessary. As a result, a stroller made from inexpensive materials is very inexpensive, and even knows how to become amazingly compact. The only but global disadvantage is the harm caused to the child's spine.

Nevertheless, the low cost and the ability to easily take such a stroller on travel makes parents, if not choose such a stroller as the main option, then at least purchase it in reserve.

It is clear that there are also such strollers that do not belong to any of these types. For example, the same 2 in 1 and 3 in 1 are organized according to a completely different principle, since their chassis folds separately, and the blocks may not fold at all, or each does it in a different way. Classic cradles do not fold at all - they are not allowed to make this rigid base. For models designed for several children, the design can either belong to one of the above varieties, or be special.

The last constructive moment, connected exclusively with the convenience of each individual consumer, is where the children are deployed. In some strollers, they sit facing their parents, which allows adults to control everything that happens, but obscures the view of the surrounding area for the kids. The opposite are strollers, in which children sit in the direction of travel - then they see everything around them well, but they themselves are hidden from parental eyes, unless the manufacturer has thought to make a special window in the hood for adults.

Finally, many manufacturers, especially in transforming and difficult-to-fold models, have provided the ability to turn the handle in such a way that the owners themselves determine each time in which direction the child should be turned.

It should be noted that double and triple strollers are a completely separate topic in terms of design. If the seats are located side by side, then the classification is approximately similar - there is also a division into "canes" and "books" or transformers. However, in multi-seat vehicles, kids can also sit in a "locomotive" when their seats are located one after another - so the structure becomes much narrower, which greatly improves its passability through narrow doors. In this case, children in a train can be located not only facing their parents or in the direction of travel, but also facing each other, or vice versa - with their backs to each other.

There are frequent cases when one of the children is located higher than the second. There are even strollers for children with a small age difference - then the simultaneous use of the cradle and the walking block on the same chassis is permissible, or a special platform is provided for the older one on which he can sit or stand.

Such a "trailer" often allows adults to operate the stroller until the eldest is five.

Materials

The materials used in the production of the stroller determine its cost and weight, as well as the degree of comfort and durability. With the frame, everything is relatively simple - ideally, it should be metal, better aluminum, since this material is lightweight and extremely durable. However, such strollers are less and less common, since they are being supplanted by analogues with a cheaper and not always less durable plastic case. As for the wheels, they, contrary to popular belief, are one of the most important parts of the stroller, therefore they deserve separate consideration below.

Very important in terms of choice is the material from which the hood is sewn and capes or blankets are made. According to this criterion, strollers can be divided into winter, summer and demi-season, depending on how significant they provide insulation.

For a winter stroller, it is fundamentally important to preserve heat, since not all parents are ready to spend money on a full-fledged wardrobe for a child who will outgrow the purchased things in a matter of months. In addition, due to the baby's not very strict adherence to the rules of personal hygiene and his inability to dress independently, adults prefer to insulate not the baby himself, but his stroller. Accordingly, the hood of a winter stroller will definitely be thick, and a blanket or a warmed envelope should be supplied in the kit.

The latter can differ greatly in the degree of insulation and be made of different materials, so you should choose one that will not provoke an allergic reaction in a child. By the same analogy, it is worth choosing a hand sleeve - a special, most often a double pocket for parental hands, which is attached to the handle of the stroller.

For summer, it is important to find the optimal compromise between the ability of the fabric to protect against rain and wind and the ability to provide adequate ventilation under the hood. Being in a semi-enclosed space, the child is constantly faced with a noticeable greenhouse effect, and therefore the fabric must still pass air.

In the case of summer strollers, there is a specific requirement for materials such as compliance with light shades, since this allows you to more effectively fight the heat.

An important bonus to help protect against potential allergens - insects, pollen and dust - is a mosquito net. Tulle, organza or chiffon are used as such, and if parents purchase such a thing on their own, you need to find a compromise in the size of the holes between small ones that protect against any intrusions and large ones that let air through well.

At the same time, do not forget about a blanket or a raincoat made of oilcloth, because even in the summer season, the baby can very easily get sick, slightly overcooled or wet.

It is easy to assume that in the case of a demi-season stroller, the materials should approximately correspond to the average values.Since there is no solution that is equally comfortable for the end of one season, and for the beginning of the opposite, there is no way out, the solution can be found in the form of purchasing several insulated envelopes, each of which will be made of different materials, providing a gradation of protection from the cold.

In this situation, it is especially important to choose those envelopes whose design allows in the future to unfasten the fabric, turning the product into an ordinary children's blanket.

In pursuit of high-quality material that best suits the season, we must not forget that it will definitely need care in the form of cleaning or washing. A child at the age when he still rides in a stroller will definitely not take care of maintaining cleanliness, which means that it will have to be guided many times. In this regard, the choice in favor of those fabrics that repel or simply do not absorb dirt is welcomed.

Some parents try to solve this problem with a leather stroller, but do not forget that such a solution will kill any ventilation, although it will protect it from rain more reliably than any analogue. For this reason, eco-leather as a material for the hood is more of a design moment than a practical solution. It remains to choose the design of the stroller, allowing the removal of covers for maintenance, and the covers themselves, unpretentious to the washing conditions.

Separately, it must be said about the mattress. Many adults would gladly choose the softest option for themselves, but this will be very harmful for a child - it's not for nothing that a hard bottom is considered a very preferable factor in choosing a stroller. Accordingly, the mattress should only slightly soften the rigidity, but not be a full-fledged featherbed.

In the case of children, the choice of hypoallergenic material remains always relevant, because children are much more prone to allergic reactions than any adult. For this reason, one of the most sought-after is a coconut fiber mattress that meets both criteria.

Wheels

In the case of wheels, absolutely everything is important - their number and size, location and material of manufacture. A stroller is a transport for its intended purpose, and therefore it depends on the wheels how long it can be used.

It is worth starting with the material, because this factor is the most fundamental. Recently, inexpensive models are increasingly equipped with plastic wheels, since they are inexpensive to the manufacturer, but this decision is usually met with criticism. The fact is that plastic is a material that usually does not have elasticity, therefore the lack of such wheels is striking already at the first descent up the steps, since the baby is mercilessly shaking. Such wheels do not contribute to amortization in any way, so you can only ride with them on perfectly flat roads, but this will not help solve another problem - the plastic is quickly wiped off, which makes the wheels completely unusable.

Many consumers consider inflatable rubber wheels to be a good alternative, which show a much better shock absorption effect. Another thing is that the tires will have to be pumped up periodically, and if the camera completely breaks through on a sharp stone, the parents will have a hard time.

Now there are rubber tires, which are specially filled not with air, but with silicone - as a result, they retain their elasticity, reducing shaking, but are much less susceptible to the risk of deflation and loss in volume or cushioning.

While we are talking about depreciation, one cannot but pay attention to the size of the wheels. If parents like to walk in parks or wooded areas, or they are simply unlucky to live in a city with classic Russian bumps, you only need to choose wheels with a fairly large diameter. Such a stroller is a real "all-terrain vehicle", since the large diameter does not allow the wheels to penetrate into all cavities - it turns out that the stroller does not get stuck and does not shake too much on small potholes. On the other hand, large wheels somewhat reduce the cross-country ability, since in general they increase the dimensions of the stroller and do not always allow it to travel along a narrow but well-compacted track.

To increase the cross-country ability of a stroller with large wheels, you need to make sure that the front ones are swivel, that is, they can rotate around their own axis - this will allow the transport to rotate in place, if necessary. At the same time, for better passability through bumps, it is fundamentally important that the ability to turn the wheels can be blocked, otherwise the stroller will tip over on an uneven road.

The number and arrangement of wheels affect both the size and maneuverability and the stability of the stroller. For example, if all the wheels of a vehicle are doubled, then it probably stands better on the surface, does not react so sensitively to road irregularities, and is additionally insured in case one of the wheels cannot withstand bumps and simply breaks off. In this case, the wheels can be located both in all four corners, and in the form of a triangle, when in front, instead of a full-fledged axle, there will be only one single or double wheel.

"Triangle" will always be more compact, it is much easier to fit into an elevator or public transport, it is also lighter and more maneuverable, but it is worse on a flat surface, and an overly active child can simply overturn it. The model with wheels in all four corners, respectively, has completely opposite characteristics - it is more bulky and inconvenient, but you can be absolutely sure that it will not tip over.

Since, when considering the features of the wheels, the need for the possibility of turning them was mentioned, it is worth mentioning separately the presence of brakes. Some types of strollers provide for their installation on all wheels, somewhere they are placed on only one axle, but practice shows that the more brakes, the more reliable the stroller's standing position on a steep slope.

At the same time, the choice of a stroller by the presence of brakes should not be limited only by their number - you need to pay attention to how reliable and comfortable they are. Parents must be sure that at any time they can block the wheels with one light movement.

Design

Without exception, all mothers would like to choose beautiful strollers that will look stylish and attractive. Nevertheless, when choosing a design for children's transport, one should start not only and not so much from the external attractiveness of the model as from practicality.

It should be noted that children usually ride in a wheelchair for only two or three years at the beginning of their life, and this period is characterized by some features of psychoemotional development. The fact is that a baby at this age is very interested in any bright objects, but he is not yet able to concentrate his attention for a long time, because he gets tired very quickly. The result is a contradiction: on the one hand, the colorful attracts, on the other hand, it tires too quickly. As a result, the child forgets about healthy sleep, becomes nervous and restless, and often cries.

That is why too bright, flashy colors are not welcome, as well as complex intricate patterns, albeit directly related to children's themes. Most often, preference is given to monochromatic models such as blue or burgundy. In the summertime, it is very important to choose a stroller according to the principle of a light tone, since this will additionally protect the baby from the heat, therefore a white stroller may not only be stylish, but also very practical.

As for the additional decorations on the hood, the maximum that is allowed is simple polka dots of a different shade, not too small and frequent.

However, you should not fall into extreme asceticism either - various interesting trinkets are useful for the baby, if only they are in moderation. A toy-pendant will help to decorate the stroller, which is in the child's field of vision exactly as long as necessary so as not to overwork the baby. For such toys, the brightness and the presence of small parts are not prohibited, but they must be correctly selected depending on the age of the small owner.

You can choose pendants by color, and if necessary, they are quickly removed both in order to let the baby sleep, and for washing or a banal change of style.

An important accessory for both functionality and appearance of the stroller is the organizer. This is the name of a special bag that complements the children's transport, allowing you to store in it all the little things necessary for caring for your baby. Some models of strollers are already included in the package, others allow you to buy a bag from the same brand separately - both of these options are good in terms of compatibility, since they are well suited both in shape and in color of fabric covers.

If the manufacturer has not taken care of developing such an accessory of its own production, you can try to purchase the bag separately - there are universal models. In this case, the size and shape of the bag should be taken into account so that it does not interfere with movement during a walk and does not hang on the arm, as well as select an accessory to match the stroller.

How to choose?

If we talk about the choice of strollers in general, then there is a huge mass of criteria, each of which affects the determination of the best one. The only thing to forget about right away is generalized recommendations like "the best stroller", because every child needs a special model that will be the best for him. It happens that most kids really like the named model, but it will not suit yours for objective reasons - in this situation, of course, you should choose something else.

In general, the following criteria are mandatory for consideration.

Models

Different types of construction are designed for completely different needs, here the question is not even about preferences, but about needs. For winter, you need to look for insulated models, for summer - on the contrary, lightweight ones. A family with one child chooses a single stroller, happy parents of twins are looking for a double stroller, and those who are lucky enough to have two babies with a small age difference should look for a model for the weather, where for an older child there would be opportunities for both running alongside and for a seated trip ...

If adults do not belong to those who sit in one place all their lives, it is worth choosing those models that are distinguished by their maneuverability and compactness when folded. In a word, first you need to give a very specific answer to the question of why a stroller is purchased at all.

Block type

This choice strongly depends on the age of the baby, since in the first six months it should be a cradle and only a cradle, even if theoretically it can turn into a seat. Further, the priority is just sitting, but also with a clarification - the child will often want to sleep, so it would be nice if it skillfully turns into the same cradle or its semblance. In any case, a solid, solid foundation is a significant contribution to the good health of your baby in the future.

Overall dimensions

More often than not, the dimensions of a stroller are fundamentally determined by the distance between the outside of the wheels, because the problem is usually getting through narrow doors. If the situation with supermarkets is still all right, then the old Soviet-built elevators set a severe restriction, preventing young mothers from using all the amenities of modern apartment buildings. For this reason, measuring the width of the elevator beforehand is not an odd whim, but a highly justified step aimed at practicality.

If the family has their own car, you need to evaluate the model you like in terms of whether it will fit in the trunk. It is also useful to determine whether it is convenient to store a purchase of this size in an apartment, and even if its advantage is called the ability to fold, to evaluate how convenient it will be to do this several times a day.

With all this, we must not forget that in the pursuit of compactness, the comfort of the baby must first of all be observed, therefore for a large child it is better to choose a spacious stroller, even at the expense of cross-country ability and free space.

Chassis design

The frame is what the whole stroller rests on, so it must correspond to two slightly opposite indicators - to be light and at the same time strong and reliable. Modern manufacturers solve this problem with aluminum or impact-resistant plastic. At the same time, the chassis should also be assessed from the point of view of structural stability - even with an incorrect load distribution, the stroller should not tilt.

Depreciation

A small child is constantly falling asleep, and if the shock absorbers, coupled with the wheels, do not provide him with a smooth and quiet ride in the conditions of our roads, then every walk will not be a pleasure for him, but a torment. In such a situation, parents are also unlikely to be happy, therefore it is worth choosing a stroller more carefully according to the degree of shock absorption. Much has been said above about how the wheels affect this factor, however, it is necessary to evaluate both the shock absorbers on the chassis and in the place of attachment of the cradle or seat.

Popular solutions these days are either plastic hinges or classic springs. From time to time, you can find belt shock absorbers, but they are strongly criticized for their relatively quick wear.

Braking principle

If you can brake a stroller solely with your own physical strength, then it would be worth leaving in the last century. Today, almost all strollers are equipped with brakes, since this is an important guarantee of the baby's safety, but this mechanism can be implemented in different ways.

The good thing about the tube brake is that it blocks two wheels at once with one simple press - it turns out more reliably, because even if one of its parts is jammed, the second wheel is blocked in any case. However, many manufacturers deliberately allocate a separate pedal for each wheel, believing that only systems that are independent from each other can reliably hedge each other.

The handbrake located at the top is still considered a technological innovation and a comparative rarity, but it has already been appreciated by active mothers who, walking with their baby, can simultaneously jog or roller-skate.

A pen

Even something as simple as the handle of a stroller can be smartly designed. In recent years, those models that are able to reduce the load on the wrist joint are gaining popularity.

Division into fixed, providing maximum strength of the connection with the stroller, and reversible, which make it possible to determine each time in which direction the baby will be turned is a matter of taste for every family. If the mother suspects that there will be people who would like to help her in walking the baby, but they may be uncomfortable because of the difference in height, then you definitely need to choose a handle that is adjustable in height.

Accessories included

In addition to the stroller, the kid also needs a whole bunch of different accessories, even for a walk, because many manufacturers logically assumed that parents would gladly buy everything they need in a set. This is also beneficial for consumers: firstly, a wholesale purchase is somewhat cheaper, and secondly, accessories purchased in the form of a set are necessarily combined with each other and fit each other.

However, some parents refuse to spend extra on a fully equipped stroller, believing that they will not need some of the accessories included in the set. This is a common mistake - absolutely all add-ons will be useful, especially since in the future the required component may be discontinued.

A footrest, play tray or mum's sleeve are only seemingly insignificant little things, although in the end they can play a decisive role in the question of comfort on a walk.

At the same time, the choice of each individual type of stroller assumes its own highly specialized criteria, which could become a topic for a separate article.

Manufacturers and reviews

Some parents do not at all strive to perfectly understand all this variety of characteristics, preferring to simply trust a trusted manufacturer. Indeed, it is not for nothing that some companies are considered top-ranked all over the world and collect thousands of positive reviews from all over the world, while others remain a little-known brand even in the country of origin. Again, it is not enough to choose a company that produces the most popular, the best strollers from all sides - you need to focus strictly on the needs of your child, choosing, albeit a branded, but not any, but the most suitable model.

It is worth noting that not a single rating is eternal - new items released annually are constantly making adjustments to the balance of power in the market. Our overview of manufacturers, of course, is also not comprehensive - we will just try to tell you which companies, both new and experienced, are in demand. At the same time, we will try to avoid comparisons, since, as already mentioned, everyone has their own.

FD-Design is one of the most popular brands on the domestic market. If you ask consumers to describe this brand's strollers in one word, they will almost certainly say “quality”. Given the German roots of this manufacturer, it is not surprising that the product is distinguished by its quality - in Germany they simply cannot do badly. At the same time, the very democratic prices for the brand's products are surprising - for example, the hit Avito stroller in the summer of 2018 costs only 12-15 thousand rubles.

Marimex is a relatively young Polish company, which, nevertheless, has already managed to conquer a mass Russian consumer. The point here is that Poland, as a member of the European Union, is obliged to monitor the highest quality level of all its products, while the local standard of living allows employers to save on wages, making their products cheaper. Marimex is far from the only Polish brand that is popular in our country, but it is indicative.

It should be noted that many of its models, including the very popular "Amanda", cost around 20-22 thousand rubles, which will not seem like a cheap option to anyone, but an "even more Western" company would ask for much more for the same quality.

Corol is an indicative Chinese brand, the main client base of which can be called those who sincerely do not understand how you can pay thousands of rubles for a stroller, not to mention tens of thousands. The walking "S-1" from this company costs some 1.9-2 thousand rubles, and this is not a joke even in 2018. Of course, one should not be surprised if the quality of such a product suddenly does not reach the highest expectations, but if parents are, in principle, ready for the fact that changing the stroller is inevitable over time, then why not try it.

Glory is another similar Chinese brand that is not so successful in our country because of the quality, but because of the stunningly low prices. True, in this regard, it is still not a competitor to the above-described company, because the flagship model "Glory 1008" costs almost 3 thousand rubles, however, judging by the reviews, the strength and durability of such children's transport is much higher.

Mobility is the brand that makes you say that such a huge country like China cannot produce exclusively consumer goods of dubious quality. There are also worthy firms that, having gained experience from the world's best manufacturers, are trying to organize the release of goods in accordance with certain standards. This affects not only the quality, but also the price - for example, the One P5870 model costs 8-9 thousand rubles, which is quite expensive for a Chinese stroller.

However, the reviews indicate that such a purchase is still very profitable, because in terms of quality it is comparable to Western competitors, whose prices are recorded in five-digit numbers. In short, this is a good solution for those parents who want the best for their children, but cannot afford to waste money.

Sweet Baby is an example of how expensive a Chinese product can be. No joke: the "Combina Tutto" model costs about 14-15 thousand rubles, that is, eight times more expensive than some analogues from the same country! However, the name of the model suggests that this brand is not entirely Chinese, since quality control is most likely carried out by Italians.

It should be noted that the absolute majority of consumers did not have any complaints, which means that such a purchase option can also be considered.

Inglesina is a more famous brand than all of the above, taken together. The history of this Italian company has several decades of fruitful work, as a result of which the company began to be recognized on all continents of the world. The company's wheelchairs combine both quality that is mandatory for Europe and a typical Italian style that can turn anyone's head.

The only thing for which Italian strollers are criticized is for their inability to adapt to the harsh northern climate - there is no harsh winter in Italy, therefore, children's transport from there can be safely attributed to summer or demi-season. But the cost, as for Europe, pleasantly surprises - the promenade "Espresso All Over" will cost only 13-15 thousand rubles.

Aprica is a Japanese brand of children's goods, which, not even being located close to Europe, guarantees quality at a level not lower. It's no secret that Japanese goods traditionally compete with European and American ones not in price, but in quality, but in the case of Russia, logistics also plays a very important role.

Japan, located next to Vladivostok, is much more active in the Far Eastern markets than Europe, and its goods are much cheaper due to their neighboring location. Therefore, instead of globally promoted brands, you can choose, for example, the “Magical Air Plus” model for 17-19 thousand rubles.

Everflo is one of the most striking examples of how an originally Western (in this case, Canadian) firm eventually moved all of its production to China. As a result, it turns out either a Chinese stroller with Canadian quality, or a Canadian stroller at Chinese prices, but the parents in the end are so satisfied that they massively buy up the brand's products, at least in our country.

"Easy guard E-338" - a stylish walking model that will cost the family budget 9-11 thousand rubles, is probably already one of the most popular strollers in your city.

Peg Perego is the manufacturer without which it is simply impossible to imagine a single rating of prams. This company, without any exaggeration, can be considered a real legislator in the production of children's transport, since for more than half a century it has been selling stylish and high-quality products all over the world.

The fact that our rating did not begin with this Italian brand at all happened only because the company's pricing policy quite painfully hits the pockets of many of our compatriots, most of whom prefer to choose an inexpensive Chinese analogue. If we set aside the cost criterion, then usually all ratings begin with Peg Perego.

If you want the best for your child and agree to spend money on quality, cook about 18-20 thousand rubles - this is how much, for example, the famous “Si Completo” model costs. It's almost impossible to think of what she is bad about - at least in the reviews her reputation looks snow-white.

Capella is an unusual example of the fact that migration of a company in order to find cheap labor is possible even across Asia. If we talk about the company as a whole, it is considered South Korean, but its strollers magically turn out to be Chinese. However, South Korea, like Japan, is famous for the high quality of its products, and control, apparently, even at Chinese factories is organized according to all the rules - if there are complaints about the products, then there are very few of them.

It should be noted that in terms of cost, such Korean-Chinese products are comparable to Western European ones, but at the same time they are adapted to typically Russian needs. There is even a stroller in the model range, which is called “S-901WF AIR Siberia”, and such a purchase will cost 14-16 thousand rubles.

Helpful hints

Finally, you need to give a few tips on how to choose the right stroller that can last a long time without unnecessary frustration.

First of all, you need to decide what kind of stroller is required and for what needs. Having come to the store, the client will surely face the fact that the consultants will describe each model to him in the best colors, focusing mainly on the pros. In the end, it turns out that each stroller is worthy of buying it, but the entire range will simply confuse parents, and in the end they will buy anything instead of a really suitable model.

So it turns out that even before going to the store or choosing a specific model, you need to learn how to navigate the topic of strollers, and only then proceed to the actual choice.

By the way, you can buy a stroller much cheaper on the Internet, but it is unacceptable to choose a model there, relying only on photographs and reviews of other supposedly customers on the same site. The seller is always interested in selling his product, so he is unlikely to point out the shortcomings, even if he is well aware of them. On the contrary, he will use the fact that the potential buyer does not see the product to hide its disadvantages.

Therefore, having chosen a model on the network, do not be lazy to find it in a “real” store and conduct all the necessary tests there. If you are satisfied, you can buy it online, but you need to make sure it meets the expectations of reality live.

Finally, practice shows that it is better to choose several, albeit inexpensive, but narrowly targeted models than one universal one. It almost never happens that the baby grows up, having traveled all infancy in only one stroller - they replace one another as the surrounding conditions change, the baby's growth and simply due to wear and tear.

The versatility of child transport usually costs extra money, but the pursuit of two goals usually leads to the fact that neither of them will be fully achieved. So it turns out that sometimes it is better to buy several supposedly stupid different strollers than one supposedly good one for all occasions.
