Strollers for newborns: rating of the best models

A newborn child is completely helpless, and when he lacks comfort, he is not even able to even roughly show what the problem is. At this stage, parents are obliged, as never before, to be sensitive to the behavior of the baby, and so that there are as few reasons for family anxiety as possible, you should initially ensure that the baby is provided with all the necessary conditions.

If the proper level of comfort is usually present in the crib, then when you go out into the street, everything can be much more complicated, because the baby needs to be protected from all negative street manifestations, which, in particular, can interfere with a tired child's rest. Since many mothers, even in the first six months, when the baby is considered a newborn, do not want to sit at home waiting for the child to reach a more independent age, parents should take care of choosing a good model of a stroller for newborns in advance.

Features:

For people who do not have children of their own and have never watched their upbringing from the outside, all strollers probably seem about the same, however, in fact, there is a difference and it is very significant. Strollers for newborns, which include all babies in the first months of life, differ from transport for older children, since they are maximally adapted to the needs of a passenger at this stage of life.

The key difference is, of course, the position in the stroller. The newborn is not yet able to even sit, and if the parents put him in an approximately sitting position, the child is likely to lose balance.

Regardless of whether he sleeps or not, the baby still lies all the time, so the stroller must, if not be a cradle all the time, then at least be able to take this position.

Most often, models for newborns are a fixed-shape cradle, and only in recent years have manufacturers begun to produce models with a long-term use perspective. Such wheelchairs can be transformed into a sitting position, however, at first, it is the recumbent position that is fundamental, if you cannot create a 100% horizontal surface, it is better to postpone the purchase of such a wheelchair for several months.

Although for many adults the softness of the seat is an important criterion for choosing, the bottom of the bassinet must be firm, otherwise there is a risk of providing the child with various diseases of the musculoskeletal system in the future. Naturally, the situation can be mitigated with a thin foam mattress, however, the rigidity of the bottom should be at the proper level. It is only worth choosing a solid bottom so that none of the parts of the child's body "sag".

The newborn should be fairly well protected from any external factors. The baby's skin is very delicate, and the nerve endings so far have an increased susceptibility to various negative influences, so even in ideal weather a normally dressed child can catch a cold.

To prevent this from happening, a stroller for a newborn should in itself help to ensure the proper temperature regime, being insulated. In terms of the choice of fabric for covers, it is desirable to find a certain compromise between normal ventilation and proper protection from the wind, since there should not be even a weak draft under the hood.

The hood itself, by the way, should provide good protection from the sun, and on occasion - from precipitation. In the legs, where the protective effect of the hood does not extend, similar functions are transferred to the cape, so it must correspond to them.

A stroller for a newborn should be extremely practical. Mom can pick up a baby of this age, then the easily folding model can be held with the other hand in order to exclude the possibility of incredible shaking on the steps, and, conversely, soothe the baby with the warmth of mother's embrace.

Continuing with the shaking theme, it is important to find a model that minimizes road bumps. A newborn baby sleeps most of the day, so it would be difficult for parents to adjust to his unpredictable regime, and walks are useful for both the baby and his mother. It turns out that you need to give the baby the opportunity to sleep right during the walk, however, bumpy domestic roads can become an obstacle for this.

A stroller can solve the problem in two fundamentally different ways - either have large wheels and good shock absorption to overcome any obstacles, or have swivel front wheels that increase maneuverability and allow you to go around an obstacle.

Again, many moms avoid frequent street walks simply because minimal childcare requires dozens of little things that should always be on hand. Nobody wants to be weighed down with several bags, otherwise the walk will turn into a hike, so those models of strollers that assume the presence of various pockets and baskets for things are very popular.

The best examples of children's transport are an example of thoughtful filling, since they can have special compartments even for a bottle in order to perfectly grip an object, not allowing it to fall out and not lose it among the mass of other things. Bonuses in the form of carrying handles, viewing windows and an adjustable or rotary handle are also considered a plus for the model.

The baby in the first months is so helpless that even a relatively short time spent outside a stroller or crib can become discomfort for him. At the same time, the modern rhythm of life suggests that young parents are active and often go out of town or visit relatives. The problem is solved by buying a special car seat, but since this is an extra cost, many manufacturers today offer stroller models in which the seat, which can be removed from the chassis, can act as a car seat.

Such solutions are also good in that in many cases such a chassis allows, over time, instead of a cradle, to install a walking block, which is the optimal solution for children over one year old.

This purchase will allow parents to spend less money by purchasing one chassis and two different seating types instead of two full-size strollers with a chassis.

Types by seasons

A full-fledged stroller for a newborn, which is not a transformer for use in the subsequent stages of a baby's life, assumes a relatively short period of use.

Having reached the age of six months, the child will learn to sit, sleep less, he will have a genuine interest in the world around him, so an exclusively recumbent cradle will become obsolete for him. This means that when choosing a cradle, you need to pay special attention to what season it will be used in, and adapt to the weather conditions typical for a particular area at such a time.

Strollers for newborns, designed for use during the winter, are usually equipped with the maximum. Manufacturers understand that parents are often confused at the birth of their first child and can forget about something corny, massively purchasing things for a future new family member. In such a situation, the production of such a stroller, which is already equipped with everything necessary, will become very amiable and reasonable from the point of view of product promotion.

First of all, attention is paid to the fabric from which the covers are sewn, because it should be thick and warm. It is quite difficult for parents to dress a newborn, who, due to the specifics of his development, is still completely weak-willed, and many still do not want to purchase special clothes, since they understand that the weather will not allow walking often, and the child will quickly outgrow the purchased things. So it turns out that it is much easier and more practical to insulate the stroller itself than a child.

The minimum set is a warm hood and the same cape, but sometimes a special insulated envelope for the baby is also added to the set, in which it can be literally wrapped. Such an envelope can turn out to be quite warm, and with due thoughtfulness on the part of the developers, it will eventually be possible to "unfasten" it, turning it into a regular blanket.

For parents, an unusual bonus can also be a special hand muff, which is attached directly to the handle of the stroller, allowing adults to keep their hands from frostbite even if the gloves are forgotten or for some reason impractical to use them.

Accordingly, summer strollers are completed according to the opposite principle. For them, fabrics are selected so that they provide normal ventilation, restraining gusts of wind, otherwise it will simply not be possible to avoid the greenhouse effect under the hood.

For the summer season, it is important to choose strollers with light-colored covers, because it has long been known that this color repels the sun's rays, contributing to less heating of surfaces.

It is worth noting that parents who are expecting a baby in late April or early May often do not attach due importance to other insulating accessories, and in vain. As already mentioned, even a small draft and a slight cold snap are enough for a baby of this age to get sick. Therefore, a blanket and a cape will also be needed, but they should not be as warm as in the case of winter.

A raincoat is of fundamental importance, since even warm rain that has wet a child is very likely to cause a sudden cold. Finally, you should not ignore the increasingly popular mosquito net for strollers, because it will protect the child from allergies brought by various insects and pollen of plants, and will protect his lungs from excess dust.

The most difficult thing will be for those parents whose babies have the first six months of life in autumn or spring. A baby born in early spring will first have to go through severe frosts, and then gradually get used to the summer heat, but if the baby was born in the second half of July or in August, then he will go through this path in the reverse order. In both cases, the readiness of the stroller to walk in any conditions is required, but due to the strong polarity of the conditions, it is impossible to stop at something averaged.

As a rule, parents still choose demi-season models that have approximately average values between a winter and summer stroller. Based on which season - cold or hot - will be more, they usually give up those characteristics that would be needed at an insignificant stage in the child's early childhood.

If the child has just been born, and a strong and prolonged cold snap or warming is expected in the coming weeks, then the stroller is chosen according to the upcoming season, and in the first weeks of life they simply do not walk with the baby. If everything happened the other way around, and the child was a little late by the beginning of the warm or cold season, risking touching the next, opposite weather, the stroller for the newborn is chosen according to the season with the expectation that it will then be transplanted into an older model a little ahead of schedule.

Types of structures

According to the assembly method, all strollers are designed for the needs of newborn children, can be roughly divided into three large groups such as:

  • classic cradles;
  • 2 in 1 or 3 in 1 models;
  • modern transformers.

Each of these groups has certain advantages that attract potential buyers, and disadvantages that do not allow replacing alternative designs. Parents are required to familiarize themselves with all aspects of each type of design before making a purchase.

For example, cradles are good because they are maximally adapted to the needs of a newborn baby. The use of such a stroller becomes impractical after reaching six months of age, so manufacturers do not bother how to make a folding bottom here, and simply make it solid and solid - the way it should be to form the correct posture.

The absence of many adjustable and folding mechanisms makes the design simpler, but at the same time more reliable. As a result, the model is also relatively inexpensive, so lovers of classics and proven solutions will definitely appreciate this model.

However, it is not in vain that new, more cunning models began to replace the classics. Many parents do not like the fact that the stroller will only be used for six months. They are willing to overpay just to buy something with a longer useful life. The cradles quite rarely know how to fold, and if they can, the procedure is usually quite complicated and does not provide the necessary space savings. It can be difficult to take such a stroller with you on a trip, as well as simply store it in a small apartment. After all, a carrycot is just a carrycot, so it usually doesn't have any additional features.

The 2-in-1 and 3-in-1 models are an attempt by developers to create more versatile solutions. The assembly technology in this case assumes that the chassis allows the removal and replacement of blocks - a cradle, a walking block, a car seat. Accordingly, depending on the number of supplied types of blocks, the stroller is called either 2 in 1 or 3 in 1.

The main convenience of such a purchase is that parents in one fell swoop buy absolutely all possible types of transport for the baby, and then they may no longer think about replacing the vehicle.

Such an acquisition is usually also cheaper - partly due to a kind of wholesale, and partly due to the fact that with two blocks of different types of chassis, it is still purchased in the amount of one piece. Many parents also like the versatility of this model, which makes them feel ready for anything. Due to the fact that the unit is reinstalled each time, the same cradle can provide conditions no worse than in a classic cradle, tightly attached to the chassis.

But here, of course, not without a fly in the ointment. A 2-in-1 stroller is cheaper than two separate strollers, and a 3-in-1 model is cheaper than two strollers with a car seat, however, due to the abundance of components, the entire set is more expensive than competitors in the form of a classic cradle or a transformer. It is clear that such a decision will last for a long time, however, for a family that is just preparing for the birth of their first child, the budget may simply not be able to withstand such a load at a particular moment, even if the decision will pay off in the future. All existing blocks need to be stored, and they predictably take up a lot of space.

The versatility of the stroller is somewhat lost when the family leaves somewhere far away. In order for the transport to remain as practical as before, you will have to lug all the blocks with you. Finally, many people do not like the fact that such wheelchairs have a lot of grooves and moving parts, because fastenings often break, turning an expensive purchase into junk.

Transformers in their advantages partially resemble 2-in-1 models, for example, they can also be used in the future, since their design can be converted into a walking-type sitting place. In addition, the cost savings here are even higher, because the transformer has not only one chassis, but also a universal unit itself, so a stroller of this type, replacing two different strollers, still costs about the same.At the same time, due to the presence of only one block in the model, it is more compact, and also manufacturers usually make such transport foldable with just one click of a button, which is very convenient for those who regularly use the elevator.

However, the saying about two birds with one stone, chasing which, you risk not catching up with one, is very relevant here. Trying to combine the best features of a cradle and a stroller seat in one block, manufacturers often face the fact that their brainchild loses to designs of both types, presented in a "pure" form.

In the case of a module for a newborn, for example, the transforming structure often does not provide the proper support rigidity, so there is a high probability of deformation of the child's weak spine.

Due to the abundance of rotating, not firmly attached parts, transformers are very susceptible to breakdowns, because of which their real life can be radically reduced. Even if the stroller serves the entire expected period of 2-3 years, it still costs a little more than a cradle of a modification proven over decades, which, again, young parents cannot always afford. In addition, other ways of differentiating modifications of strollers for newborns are possible. It is logical that such strollers are not only one-seater.

For twins, you can find double strollers next to each other or behind each other, and face to face, and even back to back, not to mention transformers that allow you to rotate individual seats at your own discretion. With a strong desire, parents can even find models for triplets, where places can even be located in the most bizarre way.

Separately, it must be said about how the wheels of the stroller are located. Most often they are located by analogy with a car - in the amount of four (or eight) pieces, placed approximately in the corners.

This solution is characterized by increased compactness and stability, however, the parameters of the wheelbase make the structure rather bulky and somewhat reduce its cross-country ability.

In this regard, recently, more and more often you can find compact three-wheeled (or six-wheeled) models, in which the wheels are arranged in the form of a triangle.

Usually the wheels are arranged like a tricycle - two on the rear axle and one on the front. Thanks to this, the stroller seems very small, it fits comfortably into elevators and easily bends around small obstacles, since the front wheel is always made to turn, however, this design somewhat reduces the stability of the transport. As a rare exception, there are also such three-wheeled models, where the wheels are arranged according to the opposite principle - there are two of them in front, but at the back the stroller manages only one.

Design

When choosing strollers for newborns, do not forget about the design of the vehicle. He must completely satisfy both the mother herself and the baby. It's a little easier with mom, because she herself understands what she likes and can say about it aloud. The baby, most likely, does not have specific preferences yet, so you will have to focus on the advice given by qualified specialists. They concern all newborns without exception.

To begin with, you should understand that appearance and comfort are inseparably linked things. The choice of color has already been mentioned above. You should not choose a model whose covers are made in dark colors if the stroller is bought for a hot summer. Such a hood will heat up very quickly, and naturally it will not become cooler inside. In this case, the shade should be chosen calm, because bright and aggressive tones will attract the child's excessive attention, preventing him from having a normal rest.

It should be noted that the most fashionable strollers from retro to our days always keep the middle in terms of color choice - they are bright enough to please the baby and interest him, but still do without acid colors.

At the same time, there is no fundamental division into strollers separately for girls and boys.

In the understanding of parents, beautiful strollers sometimes need to be decorated with various beautiful prints, pictures or cartoon characters. This point of view is caused by how we ourselves remember our childhood, because then everyone liked this, without exception. Here you need to understand that such things are attractive for preschoolers and younger students, but for newborns this is a completely unnecessary burden.

Excessive diversity, perhaps, can please a child of this age, however, here you need to understand that it attracts his attention, which he cannot yet concentrate. At the same time, entertaining pictures do not "let go" of the child, forcing him to return to studying them again and again, which is why he gets very tired, and cannot calm down and fall asleep. For this reason, the choice in favor of colorful strollers, if any, is undesirable, and even more so in the case of a newborn.

For many mums, it is very important that the appearance of the stroller meets the minimum standards of style. In particular, it is desirable that the colors of the stroller and its accessories are properly combined. If a mother has taste, free time and desire, she can achieve the desired effect by carefully choosing the elements of the image of a child's transport. However, the problem can be solved much easier if you buy a stroller, which already includes everything you need. If the manufacturer offers a model with a complete set, which includes a cape and a blanket, it means that all these details have already been designed in the same style, therefore, they provide perfect harmony.

How to choose?

Everyone knows how to choose the right baby strollers in words, however, for some reason it still turns out that in most cases the parents remain a little unhappy with the purchase. The reason for this result lies in the fact that somewhere the parents are still not so aware of all the selection criteria, so they missed some important details, and somewhere they did not find enough funds to buy a good model or they preferred to save money, considering certain points not so important.

In any case, it is worth going through the main criteria for choosing a stroller for the first half of the first year of a baby's life again.

Safety

Child safety is the most important criterion that must not be forgotten even for a second. In the first months of life, a baby is so helpless that if he falls, he will not even be able to group, and after all, his bones do not differ in strength, therefore any emergency situations are categorically contraindicated for him.

Before buying a stroller, you should try to swing it - it should easily withstand such a test, without threatening to tip over. The brakes on each wheel are a fundamental requirement in this situation, they must be reliable and work without much effort on the part of the parents.

There are always seat belts in the cradles, but it is advisable to make sure that they are five-point and rather thick, leather can be used, especially if a transformer is chosen, designed for a more mobile age of the baby.

Finally, in all collapsible models, an important point is the reliability of the cradle attachment to the chassis - you need to be sure that the baby's seat is securely fixed. If even one of these details raises the slightest doubt, it is better not to buy this model, but to turn your choice to something else.

Comfort

The whole life of a baby in the first months passes either in a crib or in a stroller, so the requirements for the comfort of these places are the highest. If the crib even stands on level ground, the stroller is constantly in motion, so it often shakes, which prevents the baby from sleeping. Therefore, the shock absorption should be very soft so as not to wake up a sleeping child, for example, rubber inflatable wheels as opposed to hard plastic ones.

Alternatively, to solve this problem, you can simply choose a model with the largest possible wheels, since such "all-terrain vehicles" will not notice small bumps.

The degree of insulation and ventilation, mosquito net and raincoat should be ideal for both the stroller and the current season of the year. As for the place for lying, then you need to try to find a compromise between sufficient rigidity so as not to spoil your posture, and tangible softness so that constant presence in the stroller does not bring discomfort.

Ease of management

The easy-to-use model greatly increases the chances of a lot of walking with your baby. Parents will be ready to show much more sensitive care for the child in the event that the walk also becomes a pleasure for them, and not hard work. For a start, it is worth looking for lightweight models of the cradle, because most people now live much higher than the first floor, so it will be easier to lift up a lightweight stroller. In addition, the lightweight model is almost always more maneuverable and does not require extra effort to roll.

Reducing weight can negatively affect wheel size, but even relatively small wheels can be offset by their swivel ability, so the stroller cannot easily pass bumps, but will dodge them without problems.

Again, the ability to adjust the length of the handle so that it is optimal for each family member, even if they are very different in height, will be a nice bonus. As a result, dad, grandparents, and even older children will be able to help mom with walking the child.

Availability of accessories

Although all the necessary accessories can be purchased separately, it will be much better if they were originally offered in the package. At the very least, an integral set always presupposes compact storage, not to mention the fact that in the case of a single set, a holistic style of design will be maintained for everything necessary.

It should be noted that many manufacturers, especially those from the budget, often ignore the complete set of their products with everything necessary, and sometimes you may even need something that does not seem to be irreplaceable. For example, a bag for a mom can be purchased separately, but only for the stroller that comes immediately with such an accessory, a special place is provided in the case for storing this bag.

The pump for rubber wheels does not seem to be anything outlandish at all, however, it may turn out that the nipple of the stroller has non-standard dimensions, and then all the shock absorption will be inoperative, which makes the practical use of the stroller impossible. A raincoat and an insect net are included in sets more often, and if there is no place for them there, you can even sew them yourself, but why should you do something that the manufacturer himself could take care of.

Price

For obvious reasons, the cost of a stroller is often almost a determining factor in which model parents choose. It is not surprising, because good foreign models can cost somewhat inadequately in the eyes of most domestic consumers, and after all, the birth of a child involves huge expenses, which are not exhausted even by one tenth with a stroller alone.

It is important to understand what the price depends on - usually it is influenced by the brand, usability and reliability.

The first factor is very conditional, because it only supposedly guarantees that you are not being sold an unverified product, however, the likelihood of a single factory defect, as well as the opportunity to buy a good inexpensive stroller of an "nameless" brand, is always present. With regard to convenience and functionality, here you need to objectively assess what level of comfort is really needed. Finally, reliability is also a very conditional factor, but if parents see its obvious manifestations, then it is better not to regret money and overpay.

Overview of manufacturers and models

While every brand has both comparatively good and unsuccessful models, trust in the manufacturer is still a popular method of choosing a stroller and any product. This is not to say that this method is unambiguously bad, because some brands collect numerous positive reviews from around the world. At the same time, you need to understand that choosing a particular brand should not mean an automatic purchase of any of its models, because it may be so that everyone praises one model, but it has certain qualities, because of which it does not suit you personally at all.

That is why there will not be any specific rating of the best models - all the strollers described below are good in their own way. At the same time, the model lines are constantly being updated, so yesterday's "best" may be discontinued tomorrow or give way to newer models that will form an updated top. It is worth considering all brands and models popular in our country as of mid-2018, without giving specific recommendations on buying any one of them.

Strollers made in Italy are traditionally famous all over the world. They are all-round good, it is difficult to distinguish any zest from them, except that they are distinguished by the subtle style inherent in all Italian. Glory to this manufacturing country was brought by brands that are on everyone's lips - Peg Perego, Inglesina, Chicco.

It should be borne in mind that such strollers are not suitable for our winter season, since the Italians are unfamiliar with our cold weather, they do not face such a problem, therefore they do not try to solve it, but for the summer or off-season these strollers will be just right.

If we talk about the models, then it is worth highlighting the 2 in 1 Inglesina Sofia and the classic Peg Perego Primonido Elite cradle (both cost about 36-40 thousand rubles).

German strollers are also quite famous in our country. Fame was brought to them by manufacturers Teutonia and FD-Design, Hauck and Hartan, as well as some others. Dad will probably be able to tell about what is good about German-made transport - all these advantages, described by the phrase "amazing quality", apply to wheelchairs to the same extent as cars.

This season, you should pay attention to the 2 in 1 FD-Design Salsa 3 strollers (at a discount you can find even for 25 thousand rubles, the standard price is 37-42 thousand rubles) and the elite Hartan VIP XL (72-80 thousand rubles), and also Teutonia Bliss (62-68 thousand rubles).

The UK is closing the top three stroller-producing countries whose products are the ultimate dream in our country. These brands are less well-known, but offer the optimal combination of practicality, fashionable design and high-end quality - we are talking about products from the brands Silvercross, Happy Baby, Cosatto and many others. Due to the significant remoteness of factories from our country, as well as high transport costs that affect the cost of strollers, in our area, British children's transport can be found relatively infrequently, although the 2 in 1 Silvercross Pioneer model for 50-55 thousand rubles can serve as a good example of this how it looks.

It is somewhat unusual that such a small producing country as Norway is among the leaders. Three companies from this northern European country received recognition at once - these are Stokke, and Noordi, and Esspero.

The trademark of these companies is a strict Scandinavian design that meets all fashionable requirements, combined with the highest quality and a willingness to survive a harsh winter, no different from ours.

Criticism of these models usually concerns their cost, since the prices, according to eyewitnesses, are comparable to premium-class strollers, however, in fact, they are not more expensive than the same British ones. To be convinced of this, it is enough to consider the most popular Norwegian models, for example, 2 in 1 Esspero Grand Newborn Lux (40-45 thousand rubles).

A comparative novelty in our market is strollers from Portugal, although they have been produced in their homeland for more than a dozen years. On average, such strollers are a little cheaper, since this country is not considered the most successful in Europe, however, this does not prevent its products from being of high quality, and most importantly, very practical, which is noted by all consumers. The Bebecar brand can still not be found in every domestic store, however, there are more and more positive reviews on thematic forums.

For those who want to buy goods from a European manufacturer at a low price, strollers from Eastern Europe will be interesting. In recent years, our market has literally been conquered by relatively cheap strollers from Poland, whose variety of brands is simply amazing. The 2-in-1 strollers Slaro Anna Lux (14-17 thousand rubles), Marimex Armel (15-18 thousand rubles) and Adamex Neonex (21-25 thousand rubles) became real hits.

Even small Lithuania - and that now offers worthy models like the Tutis Zippy Orbit (28-33 thousand rubles). The relatively low prices for strollers of these brands are caused by lower salaries in these countries, but the quality still remains European - perhaps not top-notch, but very solid.

Naturally, those who want to find really inexpensive products should turn their attention to products from China. It would be strange if such a huge economy, which literally flooded the whole world with its products, did not reach such a popular segment as children's products.

It is important to understand that sometimes even the products on which a well-known manufacturer is indicated is Chinese, and it's not even a fake - it's just that salaries in China are lower, so it's more profitable to build factories there.

However, the Chinese, having seen enough of foreign management in their working hands, adopted the experience and created their own firms, which are appreciated by consumers quite well. Chinese goods still cannot boast of world-class quality, but the pricing policy makes the potential consumer forget about everything.

Brands like Geoby or Seca, Jetem or Baby Care offer acceptable quality products for relatively little money. Today, their products can be found in all shops and on the streets of any settlement in our country, and inexpensive transformers (14-17 thousand rubles) like Geoby C3018R, with a high degree of probability, are the absolute leader of the domestic market.

Probably, Russian products are not at all popular abroad, however, within the country they deserve the attention of consumers. Here the prices are also very attractive, however, the reason for this lies not only in low wages in production, but also in its proximity to the consumer, as well as in the absence of the need to pay customs duties, because the border is never crossed during the delivery process.

Russian models are literally obliged to withstand the harsh Russian winter, because who, if not them. These brands will not say anything to every parent, but still the brands “Strelets”, “Feya”, “Apex” or Little Trek stand out in a positive way more often than others.

Useful Tips

Sometimes your own experience is more useful than any theoretical knowledge. Naturally, it is better to learn from the mistakes of other people, therefore, below are selected common important recommendations that are abundantly posted by users of various forums devoted to children's topics.

Many parents, when purchasing a stroller for a newborn, do not pay much attention to the height of the side, it is logical to assume that the toddler at this age will not be able to overcome it, no matter how low it may be. In the first few months, this looks one hundred percent true, however, by the end of the first half of their life, babies become more developed and active, and the world around them is very interested and attracted by them. It is good if the parents catch up on time, but if not, there is always a chance that the child will simply fall out of his nest.

An entire textbook can be written on how to choose the right wheelchair wheels, and then how to care for them. Plastic wheels are always criticized by everyone - not only are they rigid and do not add shock absorption, but also their wear rate is very high, so this option should be discarded almost immediately.

Many people like inflatable rubber wheels, which are both safer and much softer, however, they can easily make holes if you drive them on sharp stones, and it will be problematic to fix the tire. In the case of such wheels, you will also have to monitor the degree of inflation, because over-inflated wheels will negatively affect depreciation, and deflated ones will shorten the life of the tire.

A good alternative solution has been proposed by some manufacturers in recent years - they produce wheels with rubber tires, but filled not with air, but with a soft filler like silicone, however, such a solution is still quite rare, and costs more than the above-described analogues.

The elevator is a wonderful invention of mankind, which is very much appreciated, including by mothers with strollers, but if you rely on advertising slogans like "will go to any elevator", you can hate the elevator itself and the stroller. Unfortunately, in many high-rise buildings in our country, built in Soviet times, elevators were designed exclusively for adults with quite standard capabilities, so the entrance is often too narrow even for a small stroller.

The promise of the consultant in the store that this particular model will definitely pass into most of the elevators in the country may be true, however, it will turn out to be just an empty sound for you if the stroller does not go into your elevator.

Therefore, it is worthwhile to first arm yourself with a ruler and measure the width of the passage to the open elevator, and only then start choosing a model based on this strict limitation.

Choosing on the fly will greatly increase the likelihood that important criteria will be missed. Experienced parents recommend that you never spend 5 minutes or even an evening on choosing a stroller. You need to wander through the forums, study the topic, start at least roughly understanding it, and then sketch on a piece of paper the approximate requirements for a stroller that you would like to see from the purchased model.

Given the variety of models that exist today, you should not easily abandon the stated requirements if several popular solutions do not fully meet them - first you should study the entire range for a perfect match.

A good solution is to list several models, each of which seems to be very close to satisfying the requests. After that, such a list can be brought up for discussion on a thematic forum, asking local users to share their views and experiences. It is also useful to study the comments about all these models (strictly using different sites to avoid "ratings" from bots trivially advertising products for sale) and watch various video reviews, of which there are a lot in recent years.

As practice shows, expectation is very often different from reality when you buy something on the Internet. For this reason, many parents prefer to make such an important purchase in an ordinary store in order to see the stroller with their own eyes and understand whether it suits them or not. In the case of a purchase on the Internet, you won't be able to see a stroller right there, but you can try to go to a real store to just get acquainted with how it looks and what it is. This does not mean that you need to buy it right there - if you managed to find a better offer on the Internet, then you should use it, but no one in the store will forbid you to inspect the goods.

Usually, this preliminary study avoids many frustrations when the online seller deliberately chooses a good angle to make the stroller look more beautiful, exaggerates the advantages of this model or deliberately omits its disadvantages. If the purchase was originally planned in a "regular" store, but the review of the models was carried out via the Internet, then you shouldn't come to a retail outlet with a ready-made solution - you need to understand that you should first make sure of the correct choice.

The quality of the fabric from which the covers are sewn deserves special attention. It's no secret that a newborn child is extremely far from understanding and observing the rules of hygiene, and even the most reliable diapers do not always protect against leakage. In a word, cleaning, or even full washing of stroller covers is not just a whim of a particularly picky mother, but also a harsh reality.

In this context, the material of the hood covers should be chosen as carefully as the clothing. Some fabrics are much easier to get dirty than others, and depending on the shade, how well the contamination is noticeable can also differ.

Of course, it is better to choose strollers with hoods where dirt is unlikely to linger, and if so, it will be invisible.

The fabric itself should not put forward any special conditions for washing - a real inconvenience can be caused by a stroller, which will take a lot of time and effort to care for. Finally, the covers should be easy and quick to remove and dry and put on.

A bag for things should be chosen so that its volume is assumed with a significant margin. A small child is so weak and helpless that leaving him alone, even for a few minutes, is completely unforgivable for mom, and in fact, certain duties like going to the store still remain with her. Since the baby cannot be left at home alone, it would be logical to just take him with you, especially since you still need to go out for walks with him, and here a problem may emerge: the mother's hands are busy driving the stroller, so there is nowhere to put the bag with groceries ...

Creators of strollers, especially for newborns, usually provide special compartments for small things intended for caring for a baby, however, if they made such a compartment quite spacious, purchases will certainly fit there. Thanks to this, again, you can kill two birds with one stone, specially combining trips to the store with walks - then mom will have a little more free time to relax and take care of herself.
