  • Nazivin... The active ingredient of such a drug is oxymetazoline, which is noted vasoconstrictor action. For children under one year old, the drug is released at a concentration of 0.01%, for children from 1 to 6 years old - at a concentration of 0.025%, and children over 6 years old are prescribed a drug with a concentration of 0.05%. The drug is instilled twice or three times a day, 1-2 drops in each nostril, using the agent for no longer than 3-5 days.
  • Aqualor Baby... Such moisturizing drops contain seawater. They are produced in 15 ml vials and are prescribed for both newborns and older children, 1-2 drops in each nostril from 2 to 4 times a day.
  • Nazol Baby... it vasoconstrictor drops in a bottle of 15 ml, prescribed for acute rhinitis under the age of one year, 1 drop, and for children 1-6 years old, 1-2 drops in each nasal passage. The medicine is instilled a maximum of 4 times a day and no longer than 3 days in a row.
  • Zyrtec... Such drops containing cetirizine are prescribed for allergic rhinitis.
  • Pinosol... These drops contain eucalyptus, pine and mint oils. Their application has anti-inflammatory, emollient and antibacterial effect. It is often prescribed for the atrophic form of the common cold, by instilling one or two drops into each nostril up to 3 times a day.
  • Sanorin... Such vasoconstrictor drops prescribed in childhood at a concentration of 0.05%, instilling the drug 2-3 times a day, 1-2 drops in each nasal passage.
  • Eucasept... This preparation contains fir, mint and eucalyptus oils, due to which it has anti-inflammatory and antiseptic effect... The agent is instilled up to 4 times a day, 1-2 drops in each nostril for 5-7 days.
  • Derinat... These are drops with a complex effect on the body, which can be used not only to eliminate the common cold, but also to prevent this disease.
  • Protargol... The composition of such a drug contains silver ions, which provide antimicrobial action. The medicine is prescribed 3-5 drops in each nostril twice a day.

Choosing a drug by age

  • You need to be especially careful when choosing drops for newborns and infants up to a year. At this age, it is permissible to use Vibrocil, Aquamaris, Otrivin 0.05%, Marimera, Protargola, Nazola Baby, Aqualor Baby. Of the folk remedies, the most common use of breast milk.
  • For the treatment of rhinitis in children from one year old, you can use drops Nazivin, Zyrtek, drops based on sea water, Protargol and Vibrocil. Folk remedies used in children over a year old are juices of onions, aloe, carrots, beets. Honey and herbal decoctions are also often used.
