How to make a trip to the country house with your child truly magical? We build huts, hang a hammock, watch a movie in the open air, inflate giant soap bubbles and look for a real treasure with our children.
The summer season is in full swing! You need to have time to weed the beds, and collect the berries for compote, and water the tomatoes in the greenhouse. And what should the children do at this time?
We offer you five ideas for an unforgettable children's holiday in the country.
Hut
You can buy a children's tent or a beach tent in the store, but it will be much more interesting to build a tent with your own hands with your child.
For example, you can pull a rope between trees and throw a couple of sheets or curtains over it. Or you can pick tall branches, stick them into the ground and tie them up with a strong rope. Inside the hut, you can lay a soft blanket or a small rug for your child, throw decorative pillows and teddy bears - all this will create additional warmth and comfort inside.
Hammock
Who among us has not dreamed of lying in a hammock, swaying regularly between the trees? While the parents are busy with the garden, the child can swing on it, as if on a swing, can read an interesting book or have a snack with berries that have just been picked from the garden.
And after a hearty lunch in a hammock, you can take a nap. To prevent annoying insects from disturbing children's sleep, you can fix a mesh canopy over the hammock.
Open air cinema
Watching movies after a hard day is a great rest. And if you replace your usual TV with an outdoor cinema in your own garden, you can get twice as much pleasure! Hang a large white sheet on the front of the house, set up a projector on the opposite side and spread comfortable beanbag chairs around. To add a little coziness to your makeshift cinema, you can hang soft-lit garlands or lanterns around its perimeter.
In order not to freeze while watching, do not forget to take warm blankets and a thermos with hot tea or cocoa outside with you. You can arrange a real movie evening with watching an interesting film and then discussing it. Choose such stories so that the child can actively participate in the general conversation.
It is not at all necessary to choose full-length films for viewing. It might just be an episode of a kid's favorite animated series. After watching, you can discuss with young children how they would act in a given situation.
Bubble
Both adults and children love soap bubbles. Especially if these are not just bubbles, but giant soap balls of incredible sizes. Making these at home is not at all difficult! The solution will require water, glycerin and dishwashing detergent.
To build a device for inflating bubbles, you need to take two sticks, a long cord that should absorb the soapy water and a bead that will be used as a weight.
We take one stick, tie a cord to it, after 80 centimeters we attach a bead and tie the cord to the second stick. Tie the remaining end of the rope to the first stick again. As a result, you should get a triangle. Is it done? You can blow bubbles!
Treasure hunt
Prepare a real country quest for the child with exciting tasks and riddles that will be hidden in different corners of the summer cottage. After completing each task, the child receives a hint where to look for the next one. And only after solving all the riddles, you can get to the main prize - the buried treasure.
This quest can be done in the style of pirates, explorers, or time travelers. Assignments can be hidden anywhere: under a step on the front porch, in a saucepan in a summer kitchen, in a garden watering can or on an apple tree branch - turn on your imagination and get started!
Tasks in the quest can be anything: assemble a puzzle from pieces, solve a riddle, help mom water the beds, collect berries in a mug, draw a picture or make an applique.
Well, an interesting book, a new toy or something sweet can become a treasure.
A child will certainly not forget such a vacation!
