Artistic gymnastics for children

It is necessary to engage in the physical development of children from a very early age. It is difficult for parents to independently give the entire necessary complex and teach it correctly, therefore it is best to send children to the sections, however, some exercises can be done at home.

Features:

Children of any age need movement and physical development, and the sooner parents take care to fully satisfy this need, the healthier the child will grow up. For kids who have not yet turned 2 years old, you can come up with interesting and varied games that will comprehensively develop them. For children 3 years old, charging should already be introduced both in the kindergarten and at home.

A daily set of exercises will become familiar to the child, and in the company with an adult it will also become an interesting and exciting activity.

Each age dictates a certain type of load that can be given, and the type of activity that suits the baby. When the moment comes when the attention of parents and assistance in physical development becomes not enough, the question arises of giving the child to the section.

In every family, the decision is made in favor of the type of activity that the child or his parents are fond of, however, gymnastics for children will be the most useful for overall physical development.

Such a section is very different from classes with young children, since the learning process includes work not only on strengthening the muscle corset, but also getting to know sports equipment that children will have to cope with in the future. These include:

  • crossbar;
  • bars;
  • horse;
  • rings;
  • exercise mat.

Training of this type will help to strengthen health, increase immunity, improve coordination abilities, endurance and flexibility, form the correct posture and a beautiful fit figure, which will add confidence in the child.

Exercises in the sports section develop in children self-discipline, willpower and self-control, which is beneficial for the kids and helps their parents.

Artistic gymnastics is available for everyone, except for those guys who have contraindications such as:

  • problems with the musculoskeletal system, diseases of bone tissues, spinal column;
  • inflammatory or other processes in the joints and tendons;
  • abnormal development of bone tissue;
  • diabetes and similar diseases.

If there is any of the above problems, it is not necessary to send the child to the sports section, for such cases there are rehabilitation centers and instructors who can provide qualified assistance.

At what age should you send your children to gymnastics?

Children's physical activity begins from the moment the baby fully masters the skill of walking. It is from this period that elements of classes with a focus on physical education can be introduced.

The older the baby is, the better he will be able to cope with the tasks, and the movements will become clearer and more correct. When preparing for admission to kindergarten, parents should familiarize their child with the basics of exercise so that this type of activity is familiar to him.

Often, the first full-fledged training in children begins after entering kindergarten, when parents get more time for self-realization, while thinking about who their child will be in the future. Sports sections do not accept kids 2-3 years old, usually this category is engaged in semi-professional children's clubs, where there is a good instructor who can correctly develop the program and convey it to children in an understandable form.

As a rule, trainings with kids are conducted in a playful way, with musical accompaniment, dances and interesting tasks. The older the children get, the more serious the tasks should be for them. So, the age of four is the most suitable to try your hand at sports and master serious peaks. Children aged 4-5 do well the tasks given by the gymnastics coach, and perform them with interest.

The group that coaches recruit at the beginning of the year can be quite large, because some of the children will drop out during the season. The sport itself is very difficult, and not every child can withstand strenuous training for one and a half to two hours. Serious sections can conduct classes 4-5 times a week, which, accordingly, is not cheap, which means that not all parents will be able to pull it.

Thus, artistic gymnastics as a sport is available to children from four years old - both girls and boys. The exercises that are given in training are initially aimed at developing the physical abilities of the child, so that in the end he can cope with sports equipment and the tasks that the coach will suggest.

Serious organizations have a responsible approach to training, warning parents about the presence of sportswear, which should be the same for everyone.

Girls are invited to wear swimwear and gym shoes, boys - comfortable shorts and a T-shirt. In addition, before admission to artistic gymnastics, the coach may ask for a certificate of the child's health so as not to harm him in any way.

What is the benefit of doing this kind of sport?

The child who regularly attends gymnastics classes will surely provide himself with good health, an athletic and well-developed figure, and the ability to do a large number of exercises, both on and off objects.

Young athletes not only become beautiful in appearance, they join the philosophy of this sport, which makes them control their every movement in order to avoid injury. Discipline and self-control provide a great advantage in adulthood, allowing you to more confidently achieve your goals.

Since artistic gymnastics is an Olympic sport, competitions for children are not uncommon. The opportunity to travel around the country, and even go abroad, the chance to meet great athletes leaves a big mark in the child's mind and forms the right personality, with the necessary values and ideals.

In the summer, you can send your child to a sports camp if it is not possible to go to the sea together. The presence of a company of like-minded people who train together, defend their club in competitions and relax in one circle, makes it possible for all children to feel needed, important for the team and significant, which is very important, especially for those who grow up in an incomplete family.

Gymnastics provides an opportunity to both engage in this type of activity as a hobby, and to qualify for the Olympic reserve, strive to go to the Olympics, represent their country.

Many doors open for professional athletes, they have sponsors, impressive fees and the opportunity to travel around the world doing what they love.

Gymnastics workouts for each child will give something of their own, in any case, it is important to endure the benefit, whatever it may be. Those who regularly attend such classes:

  • become more plastic;
  • learn to listen to the tempo and rhythm of the music;
  • girls acquire grace and femininity in movement;
  • boys become physically strong, which is visible externally;
  • get full physical development.

All these factors are indisputable advantages of attending gymnastics training sessions for children over four years old.

What are the parents' concerns about?

Despite the huge number of advantages of gymnastics training, they also have negative sides, which primarily include injuries. Since the child must cope with sports equipment, in the process of training or at the competitions themselves, there are often cases of injuries of varying severity.

Any parent is scared to expose his child to such a risk, but it is worth remembering that any activity is dangerous, and the ability to properly cope with the task minimizes the risks.

Toddlers are not put on the shells until they are fully strengthened and ready for the element that will be taught.

Having a qualified trainer minimizes the risk of falling, straining or breaking a limb during training. In the event that the element is fully learned and the young athlete can cope with it, problems should not arise.

Professional sports presupposes the possibility of injury, therefore, not all children who have begun to go to this or that type of activity continue their journey to the end, many move into the category of amateurs and those who are engaged only to maintain their health.

Do not be afraid to send your child to the gymnastics section - the experience that he will receive there will be invaluable, and the fear of injury, which may never be, can break the path of a great athlete, winner of the Olympic Games or any other significant competition.
