The magnetic constructor is still a novelty for many parents, so every self-respecting manufacturer can offer the consumer his own concept of such an educational toy. One of the well-known companies producing magnetic kits is Bondibon.
What it is?
Magnetic constructors Smartmax from Bondibon consist of two main types of parts - sticks and balls, with which the former are connected to each other. Unlike other constructors with similar details, sticks here can be of different sizes, and each set is focused not on assembling abstract geometric shapes, but on creating a very specific game craft, presenting a completely practical interest for the kid.
The size of every detail is such that children who have not yet reached the age when they want to drag everything into their mouths simply cannot swallow the elements of the constructor - they are too big for that. The developers, creating the line, tried to do everything to make the world of magnetic attraction interesting for the kid.
To do this, they decided to show in practice all the features of the magnetic field.
- All parts of the kits are made in bright colorsso that the child remembers them faster, and the elements of cold colors have a north pole, and elements of warm colors have a south pole. Since only opposites are attracted, the child immediately learns not only this truth, but also which colors belong to which group.
- To connect parts of the same color or different colors of the same group, metal balls are used, while opposite elements could be connected without their participation. The child learns that iron is attracted to either pole of a magnet., and that even the incompatible can be reconciled if the correct docking point is found.
- Magnetic attraction, like many other forces on earth, can have a certain gradation. In Smartmax constructors, larger parts have a greater pulling force than small ones and can lift more weight. So, the child will be able to understand that it is possible to increase the action not only quantitatively, but also qualitatively.
With all the advantages, there are also disadvantages. First of all, the disadvantages include the high cost. In addition, children are capable of breaking even this construction set, which is characterized by increased strength, therefore the question of the advisability of such an expensive toy remains open.
The constructor is also criticized for a short period of use, because babies outgrow a toy in just a few years.
Basic sets
When a child is still very young, it is difficult for him to collect a full-fledged craft, and it is easier to play with approximately the same details. As a first experience, the company just offers to buy simple constructors, where there are no specific details - the so-called basic sets that simply acquaint the kid with the properties of a magnet, without giving the opportunity to collect something highly artistic.
- 25 pieces - This is the most modest of all sets, consisting of 12 medium and 4 long sticks, as well as 9 balls. All balls are metallic gray, while the sticks are evenly divided into four colors - blue, green, yellow and red. Anything more complex than geometric shapes cannot be assembled from such a constructor.
- 36 pieces - this is a somewhat improved addition to the previous constructor. There are a little more of all the described types of parts, but a completely new component appears - curved medium-sized sticks in the amount of four pieces. The number of colors also increases, although the proportion of purple and orange is slightly less than any other shade.
- 42 pieces - this, oddly enough, is a slight regression, since the curved parts are no longer here. Instead, the manufacturer added more straight sticks in both medium and long lengths.
Again, nothing more complicated than simple three-dimensional shapes can be imagined here, however, it becomes possible to increase them in size and make them a little more complex in terms of assembly.
If the child does not have enough sticks from the set, or some of them managed to break, arousing the child's remarkable interest, you can purchase so-called additional sets, which consist of a small number of parts of a certain shape and size - these can be both sticks and balls.
The "Tripod" set looks somewhat unusual, which, in principle, solves the same problems as any basic set, but has a slightly different form of parts. As the name implies, here all the elements resemble a slingshot, thanks to which the assembled geometric shapes take on an unusual look.
The set called "Aerobatics" belongs to the main, but there are enough specific details here. The point is to assemble a support with slides along which toy cars can slide, as well as assembled from parts of the designer.
Special kits
Bondibon also has such constructors that, when assembled, seem to be a completely fulfilled toy - this favorably distinguishes the company from so many competitors, who have not been able to offer anything more sensible than simple geometry. Some of the special Smartmax kits are worth highlighting as being in high demand among consumers.
- "Flower Palace" will surely be a good gift for a little girl. In principle, the kit looks almost the same as the main one, however, this one has already been supplemented with panels that block the view, and several details in the form of flowers, which allows you to decorate the assembled structure.
Sweet Home, Flower Energy and Funny Flowers are just a few of these sets that would surely interest a baby.
- "Powerful technology" much more suitable for a boy who will be fascinated by the possibility of assembling numerous and varied construction equipment. It features many specialized parts: 6 wheelsets, 3 different cabs and 3 legs, bucket, ladder and more. "Rescue Services", "Transport", "Avtotekhnika" and "Express" adequately continue the line of "technical" sets for boys.
- "Space project" - this is a set for those boys who are tired of rolling toys on the floor and want them to "take off". The concept looks somewhat unusual, since the result is not only a spacecraft, but also special equipment for its construction.
- "Bright construction site" strongly resembles a slightly enlarged main set, but differs in a characteristic feature - the presence of backlighting. Of the abundance of details, only two glow, but this also makes the toy more attractive in the evening. This set is not the only luminous one, but only the simplest one.
- "My first safari zoo" allows the kid to get to know African animals better or create real monsters by combining parts of different animals in one toy.
This set is aimed at the youngest children - it can be used from the age of 1 year.
Reviews indicate that almost all kids like such constructors, therefore they enjoy the well-deserved respect of their parents. Certain complaints are caused except that the cost, which in many sets exceeds a thousand rubles, in general, consumers agree that the manufacturer provides good quality to ask for that kind of money.
