Educational games with boxes

Having children in the house, it is worth thinking about before throwing out any box. After all, this simple packaging material can be turned into an exciting toy for your child. These games develop imagination, dexterity, motor skills and other useful skills. In addition, children from a very young age are not indifferent to various boxes and sometimes find unexpected uses for them themselves.

Games under two years old

  • "Toy warehouse"

The kid can be taught to collect their toys. Place an empty box in front of it and show how you can put items in it. Small children who are just beginning to learn about the world around them will be happy to complete the task. The toys can then be sprinkled on the floor and reassembled. Over time, the little one will learn to independently collect items in the box.

  • "Find the Cover"

The game develops hand motor skills, forms logical thinking. She will need boxes of different shapes and sizes (cardboard boxes for shoes, plastic and tin boxes for food, small boxes for jewelry). Place closed containers in front of the child, let him remember how they look. Then remove the caps and ask your baby to put them back on. First, tell me which lid matches each box. Over time, the child himself will learn to select the right lid and close the box.

  • "Where is the ball?"

Take a small ball and put it in one of the boxes in front of your child. Have him open the box and find the toy. Hiding the ball again, swap the boxes. The kid must remember which of them the ball is in, and get it. To complicate matters, ask your child to close their eyes while you hide the object. Tell me how to find the ball without opening the boxes (shake each of them).

  • "Sorting"

With the help of boxes, you can instill in a child the concepts of various forms of objects, coordination of movements. To do this, you need a large shoebox and figures from a building or sand set of various shapes. Cut holes in the cover to match the shapes. To do this, you need to circle their outline with a pencil. Agree with your baby that from time to time you will throw messages to each other. Delight him with postcards, stickers, small coloring books. And he, in turn, can send you his drawings.

  • "Rattles"

Collect ten identical small juice boxes. Having previously washed and dried, fill them with various bulk materials (peas, rice, semolina, buttons, etc.). Seal the holes carefully to prevent the contents from spilling out or entering your child's mouth. Place each material in a couple of boxes. The task of the kid is to find boxes with the same filler by ear.

  • "Hide and seek"

With this game, you can explore colors and sizes. Take boxes of different sizes and glue them with paper of different colors. Take a small toy, for example, from a kinder surprise, and hide it in one of the boxes. Tell the kid that the toy is in a blue box or in the smallest, etc. The boxes can also be pasted over with decorative paper with a variety of ornaments (red stripes or yellow flowers). The more boxes, the more variations of the game you can think of.

  • "TV set"

A game for the development of speech and creativity. In the large box, cut a hole for the TV screen. Place it on a raised platform so that the baby's face is at the level of the "screen". Invite your child to become a television star. Let him tell poetry, fairy tales or sing songs. Gather more viewers to interest the young artist.

  • "Super dwelling"

Children of all ages are very fond of this fun. If you find a large fridge or washing machine box, you can make a real home out of it. Cut holes in it in the form of a window and an entrance door. Make a roof from the upper flaps. Cover the inside of the box with white paper or old wallpaper. Outside, the child can paint it at his discretion. In the cabin, light it up with a flashlight or small nightlight. To make the baby comfortable to play in the symbolic dwelling, cover the bottom with a blanket, put pillows.

With the help of ordinary boxes, you can come up with a lot of exciting entertainment and educational games. The desire to please your baby will give you a lot of interesting ideas.
