What should not be in the house if you have a baby soon

If you have children or are planning to have them, you should think about the right home arrangement. Immediately exclude the fireplace, thresholds and white walls from the plan, otherwise you will constantly control every step of the child, or soon the little one will slightly change the color of the wallpaper and he will have a couple of abrasions or bumps.

It would seem that excellent and original solutions for adults can become completely unacceptable if a baby appears in the house.

Tiled floor

The tiled floor is ideal for furnishing the interior: it is durable, looks great and is very good for housewives as it is easy to clean. If the family has children, then there are many “buts”. Firstly, it is cold even in the hot season, and it is completely wrong for the baby to sit on it. We'll have to do a warm floor. Secondly, the surface of the tile is slippery, and frequent falls will not bring pleasure to the child. Thirdly, the tiled floor is very sturdy. If a toddler or even an adult drops a toy or phone, they will no longer be saved.

Laminate or parquet board

This is the ideal option for a child, since wood is the most environmentally friendly product. Here the cons will only be for adults. Wood is not as strong as tiles, so it is very easy to damage it. It is worth taking a ride on it several times in a wheelchair or a chair on wheels, and the parquet will be scratched. If you drop a weighty toy, mom's pan or dad's wrench, then chips may appear. As a result, your new floor will quickly become old. If you drop something heavy on the parquet floor, you will get a booming sound and you will constantly cause trouble for the neighbors below.

Solid light walls

Any normal child at the sight of light monochromatic walls sees not an excellent design solution, but an ordinary canvas for creating masterpieces of drawing. Surely in the arsenal of every kid you will find a set of felt-tip pens, paints for drawing with fingers and a box of wax crayons. It was not for nothing that my mother bought them! Let the house be bright and beautiful. Wouldn't parents appreciate their toddler's original creation? The white wall must be decorated with bright flowers, grass, draw a rainbow and leave a handprint as a keepsake. If there are no paints, at worst, pieces of melted chocolate, mom's lipstick or shoe polish may come up. A smaller baby will not mind painting the wall with the contents of his diaper.

Light-colored furniture

Light furniture looks very aesthetically pleasing, but it also gets dirty well. Maybe the kid will not want to use it instead of a blank sheet, like walls. However, he can accidentally touch a stained handle, and a print will remain on the cabinet or sofa, which is sometimes difficult to remove. When choosing upholstered furniture, it is better to give preference to options where the fabric can be washed or additional covers can be purchased.

Glass or mirrored doors

Doors with glass inserts will always be decorated with children's handprints, no matter how hard you try to wash them. And this is the best case! There is always a danger that a child will accidentally hit the glass with something weighty ... That is why it is better not to install glass doors and make floor-to-ceiling mirrors in a house with small children.

Open shelves

Open shelves in the house always attract the attention of the little one. It's so interesting: throw all the contents on the floor and try to get in there. If this is a rack to the ceiling, then it is perfect as a ladder. And it’s okay if the books or mom’s collection of vases that prevent this fall down.

Stairs

Stairs in a house with small children give parents a lot of trouble and make them pretty nervous. Of course, a spiral staircase is cool, but do not forget to make a reliable handrail for it to prevent the baby from accidentally falling.

Podiums and sills

Thinking over the interior of the rooms, try to keep the floor surface even, without transitions and sills. Otherwise, the baby will often fall and risk injury.

Pools and fireplaces

There is no need to explain anything here. If the house has a swimming pool, then it will be a favorite place for the baby, where he will be pulled like a magnet. The fireplace is also of considerable interest to the child, and even if he does not burn himself, he will get dirty in soot.

Antique things

A set of old revolvers or swords will surely attract the eye of the kid, and cause a desire to get to know them better. And mom's antique vase, as always, will be in the wrong place and will prevent the child from getting to something more interesting. And you will definitely want to touch up a valuable canvas of the Renaissance, otherwise the colors have completely faded over time.
