How not to lose your child in an unfamiliar place: 5 simple tips

Even an adult, finding himself alone in an unfamiliar place, cannot immediately figure out what to do. How to act to protect the child, read below.

Preschoolers, of course, are at risk of losing a child in a public place. And if the child is not mentally ready for such a situation, then he will most likely panic, hysteria and cry. The task of the parents is to teach him several important rules:

  1. Choose bright clothes!

Dress your toddler in brightly colored clothing when shopping or going for a walk in the park. The brighter the shades, the easier it is to see the baby in the crowd. Take a photo in advance with your phone. If the child gets lost, you can clearly describe the external data to passers-by.

  1. The child is standing still, the parent is looking for

During the preparation, explain to the child an important rule: If the baby is suddenly lost, then he stands still, and the parent is looking. You can ask for help, but only to a person in uniform, for example: a cashier or a woman with a child.

  1. Give your child a whistle

Give your baby a whistle and teach him how to signal in a dangerous situation. If a child gets lost in a crowd, then you need to whistle from time to time, and then the parent will certainly find him.

  1. Play the situation at home

At home, be sure to play the situation several times, with dolls, bears, heroes of constructors. For example, a mother is lost in the kitchen, and the child must advise how to act. Mom can deliberately break the rules, for example, go out of the kitchen into the corridor, and the child must certainly notice this.

  1. A note in your pocket

Write a note with the child's first and last name, the parents' phone number and put it in the pocket of the kid's jacket. If a child gets lost in a public place, he can turn to an adult with this note.

If you happen to be the same adult to whom the child turned for help, then calm down, find out the details, calm down the child, inform the cashier or the security guard, but never take other people's children anywhere.
