The baby does not eat complementary foods

Hello. There are many reasons why a child is unable or unwilling to accept complementary foods. These can be inflammatory diseases in the oral cavity, teething. There may also be psychological reasons: during the first feeding, the child was afraid of something, or he was fed against his will. After all, the child may just not be hungry.

You should take good care of your child's diet. Try adding complementary foods in the morning, starting with 0.5 teaspoon of fruit or vegetable puree and doubling the portion every two days, supplementing with breast milk if necessary. If the puree is thick, some experts recommend diluting it with breast milk for better absorption.

Also, during the introduction of complementary foods, positive reinforcement is needed, show the baby what to eat from a spoon is great, show it by your example, interest the child.

If there is no effect within two weeks, contact your local pediatrician.
