We reveal the talents of the child

At two or three years old, children begin to show a craving for creativity and demonstrate creativity: they enthusiastically draw scribbles with a felt-tip pen on paper, wallpaper or a snow-white sofa, "sing along" to their parents or dance ... At this stage, it is easy to understand what attracts the baby the most. But how to shape this interest into something more conscious and help the child to show their talents in the future?

The task of parents is to provide the child with the opportunity to develop at his own pace, as well as to show him other areas of creativity.

How to stimulate the disclosure of talent?

Give your baby a variety of tools. For drawing - pencils, markers, paints; for modeling - plasticine, kinetic sand, dough; for music - a xylophone, maracas or even a simple jar of buckwheat ... Try also to combine different activities in one game: for example, build a house from a construction set and "populate" it with plasticine men or ask your kid to draw how he plays the drum. This will support not only diversified development, but also teach the baby to think wider, to fantasize and go beyond the usual framework. It is these qualities that in the future will help him not to spill interest in creativity and succeed in it!

If a child gravitates towards music, it is important to show him variety too. You should not focus on Mozart's works alone and, in principle, classical music. When choosing compositions, it is best to dwell on those that perform one or three instruments - but this is not an absolute rule either. Follow the tastes of the crumbs, and he will choose the right music for himself. Sing along and dance with your baby, show that you are having fun and that you like the arias and steps that he sings.

In any art, the main thing is to look for and find new ways, to think differently and show something new. Therefore, developing imagination is as important as drawing and sculpting skills or an ear for music. And here it is important for fathers and mothers to show their imagination: to come up with games in the process of which the baby will be able to compose and learn something, to really create.

Creativity should be a part of both regular role-playing games and activities with a constructor or even simple walks. Talk to your child and ask him questions to which he does not have obvious answers - let him come up with them!

Example of playing with a child

For example, while assembling a railroad from the LEGO® DUPLO® Steam Train (art. 10874), ask your toddler what this train is delivering and for whom. Let him compose the story of the driver and his fellow travelers.

Ask auxiliary questions and do not stop the flow of fantasy with the words “this does not happen, compose something else” - even if the train suddenly flies, and a squirrel turns out to be its driver.

Special functions of the set will make the game even more interesting and varied: five different activation buttons are installed on the tracks, which will give a sound signal, turn on and off the headlights, slow down the train to replenish coal reserves, change the direction of its movement. You can also start the locomotive either by hand or remotely using the free LEGO DUPLO Train app.

Show your child that the world of imagination is a place where there are no boundaries. And constructor blocks, a pencil with paper or plasticine are the means with which you can embody in the real world all those incredible stories that he comes up with.

How should parents act?

It is important for parents to show interest in what the child is doing and to praise him. Show him that you like what he has built or painted. The main thing here is the enthusiasm that will be passed on to the baby, and the motivation to do more and more, to develop.

And if something does not work out for the crumbs and it upsets him, show that you can look at an unsightly creation from a different angle.

For example, if in his drawing the house turned out to be round, and not rectangular, add his eyes, mouth and nose. And let the triangular roof become a hat! Seeing that his unsuccessful drawing has turned into something beautiful, the kid will be inspired and will not lose his craving for art.

Put the masterpieces of the little creator in a prominent place, show them to guests - these are simple methods of encouragement that inspire children to further achievements.

Every child is talented and sooner or later everyone shows an interest in creativity. But if suddenly at some point the kid becomes bored with a pencil on paper - this is normal. The task of parents is simple: you need to give children the opportunity and space so that they can express themselves the way they want.
